I walk with trepidation on this one...what the hell is with all the megathreads lately? People, I must agree with Lasher and the newbie bashers on one thing, though it's not by any means just the newbies that are doing it. This is not a chat room. I can't believe some of these threads have gone to 5+ pages without any meaningful conversation save for the first page. IMO, simply putting "Good point {insert name here}. I agree" is not really necessary if someone has already agreed with them.

I agree with the general rule that if it's only a few people posting on a thread and the replies are generally around one line, it's being used like a chat room. Over the last couple of days, I've found no threads that really interest me that much because of this.

I'm done now...flame away and see if I care.

Normally, I don't get involved in these shit slinging thingamajiggers, but...If someone's posts are pissing you off, don't read them. It's very simple. Follow your own advice.

I posted that mostly as a suggestion if nothing else. I realize this will always be one of those agree to disagree topics, and those that don't like my opinion or don't agree with me have every right to speak up themselves, but neither side, if you will, will ever be completely right. It just seems to little ol' me, that A) If there's nothing intersting going on on the BBS and that bothers some of you, start something interesting and B) Consider the preferences and rights of others.

I'm sorry, but "If you don't like it don't read it" doesn't really work, because often times, you don't realize you don't like it until you read it, and if everyone stuck to that, no one would be reading anything after a while. Just my .02, and I too wonder why there is no cents sign on a keyboard.

I agree there are meaningless post here, and I for one have no problem saying I do that...when nothing is happening and someone tries to get something going it is all in fun and you do have to chance to click or not click .....you post as you please and if you want in join it if you think it is dumb or silly they don't.

Who cares what posts people think are great and which ones they don't. I don't like all the threads here and I think some are boring but what I think is boring someone might think it is interesting. If there is a problem why is there not rules then? But isn't that why we come here because there are no rules or restrictions on what we want to say? I really don't see there being a problem if it is pages and pages long.

Laurel just put up a thread on how many people she just saw were on this board. Now if all those people put one liners on one thread of course it is going to be pages long. Sometimes I only write one line because that is all I have to say at the time and then when I read someone's elses comments I think of something to add or answer someone's question about my post. Is that a crime?

Before people start throwing stones at others answer this question? Have you ever done what you say others are doing? Are you only posting one post per thread?
