Last night the wife and I were once again serenaded by my neighbors Salsa Music at high volume. Once again we were more than slightly irritated as we tried to get to sleep. Then it came to me, a cure for the problem.

Back out of bed I climbed and into some clothes before heading outside. Out to the bank of Power Meters I strolled. (I don't think they even know where the meters are.) It took me all of a second to find their meter as they are all marked with the unit numbers. Reachng out I grabbed the switch and threw it shutting down all power to their place.

I could hear them inside their place yelling about the power being out as I made my way back to my place and inside to bed. We had a nice quiet night for a change as their party broke up.

This morning as my wife and I went out to the car I made a short detour and turned their power back on. When I did this all of the lights as well as their sound system came on with thundering Salsa Music.

Tonight so far it has been quiet even though they have more than a few guests over. We shall see if I have to go out and shut down their power again.

Getting peace and quiet as well as saving your neighbors on their electric bill.

What a guy. :D

Usually, power on off switches have provision for a padlock, in case the bill isn't paid. A cheap padlock or two can add to the effect.

And leave more fingerprints.

I'd stick to it until it stops working, then be glad for the short break and start working on a new solution.

Fingerprints, pish! A pair of common nitrile finishing gloves from the paint store takes care of that. I doubt that Cat's neighbors have an entire CSI lab available to them . . .

Oh, it's not his neighbors you worry about. It's the multi-billion dollar power company, who supplies the power and wants to know why they're losing 15 cents of it...

(Not that they're greedy or anything)

He works in a hospital. I'm sure he has gloves available.

Please tell me, Cat, you leave for work before dawn. Way before dawn.

Their power and all of their lights as well as their stereo came back on promptly at 0500.

I'm sure it was rather startling for them.

Last night, strangely enough everything was nice and quiet.

Tonight though the music was thumping away aas we pulled in. We'll see what happens later.
