Dan Gasby appeared live on The View on Thursday and spoke with one of his critics, Sunny Hostin.

Gasby first faced backlash after going public with his girlfriend, Alex Lerner, and making her a part of his life with wife Barbara “B.” Smith as she battles Alzheimer’s disease.

Whoopi Goldberg used The View to castigate Gasby for allowing The Washington Post to take a video of Smith in her current condition. “I didn’t want to see that,” she said. (Goldberg was absent from Thursday’s show due to an illness.)

And Hostin, who said she is a friend of Smith’s and Gasby’s, called giving Lerner her own bedroom in their home “very disrespectful.”

Producer and corporate executive Dan Gasby is married to Barbara Smith, a model and restauranteur, among other professions. Smith, who is probably far richer than Gasby, has Alzheimer's disease. Dude has chosen to bring another woman into his house to sleep with while he cares for his wife. She's getting cuckolded. And people are actually defending this low-life sleazebag.

God bless Meghan McCain, of all people, for having the guts to tell that scumbag that no one cheated on her dad like that. Gasby said he could have put her in a home. WTF. One hand clap for Gasby. What an utter disgrace.

And I think y'all know the uproar that would happen if the genders were reversed and the wife brought in some lover while her husband was stricken with Alzheimer's. In the manosphere this is literally called the ultimate fucking nightmare, and rightfully so. Why is it that it's different when Gasby does it to his wife?
