Just finished reading it.

At first I thought maybe this one was gonna be not as good as his other books (meaning that it still would be a good book) But when I got to the middle of it the book really shifted gears and went uphill.
Great stuff.

Can't wait for his next one.

Da Vinci code?

Huh?

And only one f****** reply. I mean, c'mon guys, he and his books rule. (And don't start flaming me because I know he'll never win a literatur-prize)

By the way, I'm really afraid the 'DaVinci Code' movie will suck.

Comments?

I like Dan Brown's books. They make for great airplane reading - meaning I find them engaging enough to hold my attention even though I usually have trouble concentrating on a plane. Something about the air up there gives me short attention span or puts me to sleep.

I read Digital Fortress and enjoyed it. My only quibble was the character of Hale. There was something about him that he didn't quite seem to fit the story - he stood out as incongruous.

I didn't know they were making a movie of Da Vinci code, though I can see how the book would lend itself fairly well for that. It probably won't be so compelling since those who have read the book know who the 'bad guy' is, so there isn't that element of surprise. It could very easily strike up a lot of controversy, though, considering its subject matter.

The only thing I read was Da Vinci.

It didn't make me want to read any more.

I'd be interested in knowing what turned you off. Do you enjoy fiction/mystery in general?

Well, if they leave the book as it is, they pretty much have a screenplay. That's how he writes. The movie looks promising, concidering the cast. Tom Hanks, Audrey Tatou, Ian McKellen, Jean Reno. Could be great.
But somehow I fear they'll fuck up. Oh, and the teaser looked kinda cheesy and lame.

You did well then because all his books are pretty much alike in style and writing.
You would hate the others as well.
