The story that I started expressly for the lit is turning into a real story. I'm working on the third chapter and the character's struggles are begining to sound more like a "real" story than the erotic fluff I intended. I have erotic writters block. (Which isn't nearly as interesting as it sounds.) What do I do ?

BTW I would ask the Mrs but she's been possesed by nano demons. I have been demoted from loving wife to coffee maker extrodinare.

all I can say is this better be a damn good book.

Go for it.

Write a real story if that's what it wants to be.

The muses can be difficult to live with.

Best wishes for whatever the story becomes.

It's an awesome story. Extremely well crafted and far from a fluff story. Anyone who hasn't read it, you are missing out.

As to writer's block, I suggest letting your characters carry the story. They are highly realistic and if you can sneak into one of their minds I think you will find the story flowing again. If this is an attempt at fluff I would truly love to see you try a "real" story.

Had exactly the same happen to me. I was writing a nice little story and suddenly realised that by the time I'd got past all the character development it would be way too long for Lit and the sex would be way too far in. Yet I couldn't bring myself to cut any of it.

12 months on and it's grown to 22 pages of what is possibly my best work. And it's still expanding as I add scenes and continue writing. I say go for it. The best ideas come along very rarely, so you should never restrict them. Just go with their flow.
