I was browsing the book rack at Wanderbooks and they've recently published about five books on the 'Drow', three of which are the first part of a series. I flipped through an issue of Dragon – a Drow special. They're saturating the market with Drow, what is this going to do to my stories about my Drakkur?

Damn it, I've had this idea years before Drizzt (sp?) existed. They're saturating my market. People are going to think my book is just a cheap rip off of a D&D trend.
Bastards.

~sigh~
Not that I have any chance of being published but it steams my potato.

Why am I not surprised that no one is paying attention?

Hmmm...
Damn it. I WROTE STAR WARS! LUCAS IS A HACK!

Hehe, I know. Those damn drow they're everywhere. But in R.A.'s defense they're a pretty good read.

Oh and one more to make it look like the first wasn't a pity post. :)

and to think i thought this was about Dungens and Dragons...D&D....hahaha

I think Drow are boring...

Why can't they do a special issue of Dragon on Mind Flayers?

I am working on Storms painting right now.

I have it drawn out now.
*Never's eyes glaze over*
I have the areas that needed to be masked, masked, and I am going to begin washing the color in.

*Never's eyes unglaze*

I am excited. I think it will be done faster than I expected.
:D

I used to love playing D&D - with the books and the dice and paper (not on the computer). I haven't played in about 15 years. I would love to do so again.

my cousin use to collect and play fantasy games with the metal figures

i use to paint some of them for him i wasnt to bad actually i never played the games but the figures were quite neat and the books had an amazing amount of background to them

You know you are getting old when you have NO idea, What the heck these whippersnappers are talking about........lol:p

DAMN STRAIGHT!!!

Drow are old, tired, and boring.

LONG LIVE THE ILLITHIDCY!

On a semi-related note, you might want to check around for an old 2E book called The Illithiad. It has a true assload of info on them.

I just want to point out that Dungeons and Dragons is the absolute nerdiest thing on the planet, bar-none.

In my highschool even the Goths beat up on the D&D players (although there was oftentimes thin lines between the two groups).

Last time tried to beat up this D&D Player, the person got stuffed head first into a 3x2 foot locker.

I've never played D&D but I have a few of their playing books and the novels based in their settings. Oh, and I've played BG on the computer.

Rock on mark. I have the feeling Marquis was one of the goth folks.

Mind Flayers are neat but beholders are better.

Unfortunately all the base in the world wouldn't make my skin a pale white.

The goths wouldn't have me. :(
