As long as it goes to an owner who has a love of hockey.. The deep pockets wouldn't be so bad either, but after 2004 deep pockets may not be an issue.

What about the price tag though for the team and the interest in AAC and the StarCenter rinks? 300 million? wow..

Sure it would.. it also offers buyers the potential to make a better profit. It costs alot less to run a hockey team than it does a ball club.

All the teams are paying for players that don't produce. But to pay one player that much more than everyone else doesn't make much sense to me, regardless of his production.
