I had to go and turn the freak'in heater down cuz it's 82 degrees out and the water is too warm in the pool! Not only that but the sun is REALLY bright and it makes my computer screen very hard to read as I lay here next to the pool soaking up some rays. DAMN, I've got it rough! :D

Indeed, you do have it rough. Maybe you'd like me to ship you some of the 10 inches of not-yet-winter that we shoveled last week. It would help cool off that pesky over-heated pool. ;)

It's 71 degrees, 60% humidity, the skies are clear and the breeze gentle.

It's a beautiful day in Houston!:D

You and me, darlin'. I'm walking around in jeans and a tank top and I'm thinking about downgrading to shorts. Phew!

The heat is on!

:cattail:

I'll send you some of the 17" of snow that fell over the weekend.

That went on top of the 'who-the-hell-knows-I lost-track-how-much' that was already on the ground.

Yeah we got some of that on the weekend but it was gone by morning.

Would love to have it to chill our iced teas and lemonades. I just made pear ice cream for the "Inaugural Lunch" I'm having tomorrow. Apropos no? Winter fruit, heat-wave dessert.

83 degrees now. It says rain for Wed. Looks like we're going to be having another battle between the Sun god who wants us hot and dry, and that impudent Storm god that someone called in and who keeps fighting to cool us down.

What's to think? I'm glad I didn't store away my summer Bermudas. I'm back to wearing them and tanks. Everywhere I look shorts and sundresses and halter tops are back out of the closet.

I despise you all with a fiery passion that helps keep me warm.

That and my two sweaters.

But I'm totally wearing a bikini underneath.

- Step one of "Make Jen a Surfer Chick"

While running a frosty cold coke over my sweaty brow....

I'm with Jen on the "I really despise you all" emotion. Although it did reach 19 here today, with sunshine. Which just made the UNPLOWED and UNSALTED roads that much more shitty. :(

Don't get me wrong, I can handle the cold, I can handle the snow, but I am getting sick of both. The news this morning said that we've gotten 20 inches more than the average of snow for the season, just in the last month and a half. And we've still got the rest of January, then Feb, March and probably part of April before things start getting better.

Yeah, I hate you all now for rubbing in the fact you're complaining it's too hot, but I'll get over it. :D

Well, this post will probably put me in the minority. We're under a winter storm warning, for perhaps the first time in 4 or 5 years. I'm excited about snow, we so rarely get a measurable amount. :D

*rolls over and yawns* Think you can put a little more lotion on my back? I don't want to get a burn...

(please note that the  smilie is wearing sunglasses. just saying.)

I just ran to the store on the corner, and it's a balmy 31 here right now. It's actually not all that bad, since the humidity is as close to zero as it ever gets here.

I'll take it - it's a helluva lot better than the nine degrees it was Friday morning.

Sun? You had sun? :eek::eek:

Lucky you, I just had all the cold and snow.

Oh I agree with you. I LOVE snow. As a matter of fact, maybe I can hook up with 3 & Eli and we can go VISIT the snow for a few hours, then come back home and go surfing!

It's 93 degrees here with 15% humidity.
Um, yes, but it's summer there. It's supposed to be hot. We're in the middle of winter her in Southern CA. Or we're supposed to be in the middle of winter. My poor cat's still got her winter coat and she's all kinds of confused.

You'll just love it and not want to leave.

You can wear boots and snow pants and gloves and a hat and a scarf and a heavy jacket and long underwear and three pairs of socks and sweatpants and a sweatshirt ... then realize you have to pee.

I went to school in the mountains. I remember it snowed in June one year. Just remember, I'll be dying in 110 degree weather in about 3 more months.

But what will the humidity be?

To each their own. Personally, I'd be inclined to put a bullet through my head if it was +80°F in January. Hot weather saps my will to live.
