I just read about her and loved it. ritter is now renamed Boudicea.

I thank you.

Why, you're quite welcome. I'm sure she'll lead an easier life than her namesake did.

Here are the kittens, or at least the two you can see. (One of them is hiding under the other two.)

Damn it! Now I'm in love. I want the one that's hiding, but I'm no where near Florida so, alas, I won't be taking a kitten off your hands.

Which one showed you whose boss by going all feral and king-of-the-jungle on your hand?

The one on the right.
The one on the left looks a lot like Mamma does.
The one that's hiding is shy, it like to try and hide but if I pick it up it curls up and sleeps quite comfortably. For some reason it has no fear of me.

Today we had the screen in front of the door open for most of the day. Momma would venture out of her little room as far as the corner and look into the living room then she would vanish back inside. The other two cats, while somewhat unhappy seem to be taking things in stride. (I have been watching. I can and will understand the dominance thing but I will not allow them to hurt the kittens, besides Momma Kitty is well able to defend herself.)

I've been avoiding the kitten photos because I DO live in Florida and ABG has threatened to leave me if I bring one more cat into the house (we have 6).

Apparently HE has to pick the next kitten ;) DON'T show me any pictures!

If you insist.
The scary thing is I know there is going to be a battle here when they are large enough to give away. I already have two humans in fur suits and Momma will make three. Somehow I don't see me needing a total of six.

Cute. Love the little buggers.

I'm glad I don't live in Florida. I'd sell myself into the idea of getting a kitten. ;)

Well you know, I may have to travel up to your neck of the woods sometime in the next couple of months.

Actually I wouldn't do that to you my friend. Taking on a kitten is much like the Chinese Obligation and I would never force someone to accept a kitten.

My father swung by to visit for a short while today. He absolutely "hates" cats.

Well he came in and sat down for a couple of minutes and here came Momma so of course just to be polite he gave her a scratch. Afterwards he wanted to see the kittens. Well she allowed him to handle them after I scratched her so she knew I was there watching out for them. He reached down into their hideout and picked up the little fighter who of course started fighting with his fingers. (You have to remember my father stands over six feet and is a relatively big man.) It took quite some effort and time to get him to return the kitten to it's nest and fellow kittens. Of course just before he left he had to look in on them, just being polite once again.

Just to be polite.

Very sweet, Cat.

Wonder if he'll decide he needs the little fighter?

Did he name the kitten? If he comes up with a name...it's a done deal! :catroar:

Nope, but then again neither have we. Right now we are just calling them the Critterlings. (Although my wife has tendered the name of Scrappy for the fighter.)

Ugh... I never get loads to FL SeaCat or you would have one less kitten.... as it is I am looking for a toy or a mini puppy breed that I can take with me on the truck... gets lonely out here at times

Tell the boss he needs oranges. Either that or tell him you just have to make a delivery of Plywood out here.

Cats are great traveling companions, once they get used to the movement of the vehicle.

When I traveled a lot I had a white Persian who would go with me. Max, (short for Mad Max,) was a well traveled kitty. I kept a litter box in the back of the car and he would use it faithfully. At any given time when we were moving he was either stretched out along the dashboard or sprawled across my lap. (He tended to startle people as he was more than just a large cat, he was absolutely huge. When he sat up and looked out the window at people they freaked.)

Okay, let's try this.

Jesus, is that cute. :D

Is that the scrapper? I get the feeling he's saying, "Get that thing out of my face." ;)

Nope, that's the one we've started calling squeek. (It tends to be the noisiest of the bunch.)

Well, Squeek melts my heart. :)

Yep well all three are cute as hell.
I wish I had the picture of the black and white one on my computer that I have on my phone. (I still haven't figured out how to send it to the computer without logging onto the internet and I am not paying for that on top of everything else.) Maybe one of these days I'll go to the store and ask how to hook my phone directly to the computer as Im supposed to be able to do.

You are an evil, evil man! Posting pictures of irresistable kittens! I'm already searching Travelocity for cheap tickets to Florida.....
