The pageantry of college football is awesome. Although I can't watch it on TV hockey is awesome live. I went to 1 NASCAR race at Texas Motor Speedway and after the 8th of I think 200 layoffs I was done.

yep, very much depends on who plays

More depending on HOW they're playing. I hesitate to use the word genius (it is very overused ), but sometimes you see real ability that leaves an opponent just thinking 'what am I supposed to do..? '

Rugby...my favourite time of year is just beginning...6 nations followed by a world cup...:D:D

I voted Soccer (sorry for the cliché ). I don't follow it at all, and tend to distance myself from being a 'Fan', but it is an excellent example of a team being more than the sum of its parts. It also has a pacing that suits my patience threshold, less of the awkward breaks some other sports have.

Finally, Formula One. Most of the time it's dull and predictable, but every now and then you get a race that has the drama and intensity that makes it all worth it.

That was originally the 9th choice but then I realized I needed to have a not liking sports option. I played rugby in high school and really enjoyed it. It is brutal though.

The word is "physical"...:D

I love the physicality of the game and the complexity of the rules that leads to really clever moves...truly a team sport with very clearly defined roles that add to the whole..

I don't think I've seen tackles on a rugby pitch as brutal as some of those on an American football pitch...body armour or not some of them are hideous...not that I watch it much...

I forgot to add moto gp and British super bike racing., living with the monkey has really opened my eyes to how skillful and exciting that is...he's an ex bike racer

Tennis.
I'd love to experience Wimbledon one summer.
Close second is Soccer,
especially international team play. My only live experience of that was at the London Olympics and it was grand, the women's as well as the men's competition. Just being at Wembley Stadium was thrilling.

Hockey, especially minor league hockey. It's not as fast or as skilled as the NHL, but the play is far more rough & tumble and the fans have a passion that borders on a mental disorder.

A close second would be Australian Rules Football (Footie!).
Adelaide is a sister city to the ATX, so Go Crows!
Maybe next season will be better than 14-8...

Yeah much better word. Maybe it was just brutal for me lol.

Yeah you don't see blind side hits or the collisions you see in the NFL. There are people out there trying to get the facemask removed from helmets which will cause the collisions to be less violent. I don't that will ever happen though.

Minor league hockey is a cheap, beer drinking blast. Also my wife's brother plays for the st Louis blues. He is a beast.

A breast or a beast? Or both?

I miss the Red Wings being in the same division as the Blues. Those were some fun games to watch, back inna day...

Yeah corrected that quickly. Lol. My wife was adopted. She just met her dad's side of the family recently. Turns out her dad was a pro football player and her brother is the enforcer for the blues. Sure you can figure out who he is. Just YouTube him lol. Gets into fights all the time. Blues v Blackhawk and Blues v Red wings was always fun to watch.

Call me Canadian, but hockey wins hands down for me.
I love watching rival teams go at it.

And as for the Playoffs, I usually cheer for Chicago.
