I voted 'not sure'...I do have an experience with one, but I'm still unsure if it was a dream

I was about 12 or so and 'woke up' in the night, when I suddenly noticed a figure standing at the foot of my bed, very tall...taller than anyone in my family. I remember the figure then bending forward at the waist, as if to peer at me more closely. I couldn't move, though I don't know if it was out of fear or because it was just a dream

Not sure... Had experiences but not fully convinced I wasn't whacked out of my mind lol

Yes, I do believe in ghosts and I will share my own experience.

I had two Border collies for 13 years and had to have them put down a year apart from each other. The first one had cancer and I had the vet ease her suffering. A year later, my second Border collie had her second stroke and just wasn't able to get around much any more. And being the responsible owner, I took her to the vet and she went to join her sister.

Two nights later, as I was lying in bed, I swear to God, I heard her tags jingle on her collar like they always did when she would scratch her neck. Without even thinking, I said into to darkness...."Go play with your sister, Ashley." And then there was silence.

It was like she had come back, letting me know that she was no longer in pain, that she was now able to run and play with her sister once again.... I tear up just writing this.

All dogs go to heaven, but sometimes their spirits come back to say that they will be waiting for you, to protect you again once you finally reach the other side.

Wow Bella I had almost the same thing happened to me at that age, except there was few standing around my bed and asked the other kids about it the next day and they all said it has happened to them to in the neighborhood. I have also had other experiences since then. Made a believer out of me.

Now here is something weird for you to think about. I was married to my first wife and I came home form work one day. We were living in parents old house. She looked like she saw a ghost and asked what happened to her. She said she was getting the laundry out of the clothes hamper, turned around and my Mom was standing there. But Mom was lived in a different state. We called my Mom an told her what had happened and she said she had been thinking about the old house all day. Now explain that one... Mom is still alive, so is Dad. Can alive souls travels too?

I voted yes, with experience. Once when my brother and I were younger (mind out of the gutter pervs :p:p) we just got home from school and home alone. We turned on the television and then it shut off and we couldn't turn it back on (noo the batteries weren't dead, there was no remote it was "manual" silly youngsters). So we decided to do our homework and then when we finished the TV worked again (just for your info yes we tried multiple times in between studies still wouldn't turn on). We believed it was my grandfather who past the day we moved in watching over us.

Thanks for reading.:)

I find it interesting that no-one checked the "Yes, but have never had a personal experience." box. (Note: 15 people had contributed at time of writing.) Just a few fence-sitters who don't want to dismiss any particular person from either camp. Seems everyone is pretty deadset on empirical experience above all else. And is that really true?

I reckon there is some way in which a memory, whether traumatic or deeply romantic, can impact itself upon the place where it happened as well as in the mind and soul of the people or person involved. I reckon that one day we will fathom it out. Just as the quantum mechanics whizz kids will fathom how sub-atomic particles can hold a 'memory' of when related particles do a quantum leap. There is so much which seems weird and wonderful and even scary to us, simply because it's beyond our ken.

That said, I imagine that 85% of what people suspect is paranormal activity has some other explanation to do with either their own imaginative life, or the plumbing, or the atmospheric conditions, or the like.

That's my take for what it's worth!

Yes. However, I have to qualify. I believe in the types of spirits who are no longer with us yet continue to visit.

My friend passed away in May and she visits in my dreams. She's always happy as she was in real life and I am always happy to see her. Gracie believes that she is just checking up on me to make sure I'm OK and don't miss her too much.

My father and grandparents have been gone for years, yet they still visit me occasionally.

These particular spirits would never be tracked down by Dr. Venckman and his crew, but I believe that they qualify except that they're not really apparitions, they just appear to me as real life people in my dreams.

I may have told the story once before but a year or so ago my wife and I were asleep. The kiddo was about 3-6 months old and his room is near ours.

Anyway, in the middle of the night I was woken up by what sounded like our shower running down the hall. When I woke up it immediately stopped and I assumed it was just a dream. I decided to try and go back to sleep. After a few minutes of restlessness I heard the kiddos door open and I sat up quickly. Because of the kid monitors every noise was exaggerated.

I looked over and my wife was sound asleep. I got out of bed and opened our door. I started to walk down the hallway and slipped a bit. The wooden hallway floor was wet. So I reached over and turned on the hallway light thinking the dog had pissed. Anyway when I did I looked down and there were wet footprints leading from our bathroom to the kiddos bedroom where his door was open. I ran to his room and foind he was sound asleep. The carpet wasn't wet.

I went to the bathroom and the shower had not been turned on nor the sink. Just wet footprints leading from the bathroom to his bedroom. My wife was and had been soujd asleep as well. That is when my skepticism turned to yeah there has to be some sort of explanation. Did some research on our house and it turns out someone committed suicide here back in 89'

A few things have happened around the house since but nothing ever harmful to us directly. Still though, pretty scary shit.

I vote 'no'. I've had experiences, and know people who say they've experience things . . . but I think it's all in the mind.
