My girls and I watched Enchanted tonight. I know it's cheesy but I love it.
Her hair! Her dresses! Her happy little working song!![]()

Other princess movies we enjoy are Ella Enchanted and Ever After.
Yes, I am absolutely a sucker for a happy ending... especially when it comes with a tiara!![]()
All three are popular at my house as well. I particularly love Ever After.![]()

Thank you for your sweetness and light.

Nothing pleases me more then hearing you call me Daddy.

Showing daddy what is his.

Good morning, littles (and Daddies) ~
With the holidays just past, I was going to ask what your favorite gift was, but I thought about it a little more.
Sometimes gifts are more than an object we can hold. Sometimes gifts are something emotional, or precious, that we feel. Does that make sense? They don't always happen at holidays, either.
We just saw the two posters above talking about 'sweetness and light'... perfect example.
What have you given or received from your Daddy or your little recently, that made them feel special?
My children were going to be gone for two weeks for the first time EVER away from me. I was a nervous wreck, to be fair.
He promised we'd get through it together. Even on family holidays, even with so great a distance, he gave me that gift of himself. His time, his laughter... so I wasn't lonely. There's so much more I could say.
It was the most precious gift.![]()

I wrote my someone a story, a silly little fantasy, where I shared a lot more of myself, my past and my inner thoughts than I've ever told anyone, even him. I don't know if he understands how much I gave him, but I think he does. He's pretty smart!
I thought the exchange between HB & DLS was adorable!

Awww...that's awesome! Time and attention, especially when you are separated by time zones, is the best gift of all. I'm glad you weren't lonely and you got through the holidays. I know that feeling and it is hard.

Daddy sent me a very unexpected early Christmas present.I cried and cried.
He gives me the gift of his time and attention nearly every day. And when he can't be with me during the day, he makes sure to come and tuck me in and kiss me goodnight at bedtime.![]()
And he makes me laugh and feel pretty all at once.

Holidays are complicated times, especially for LDRs.
Lots of fraught emotions and extra stresses.
My daddy and I have been giving each other the gift of poetry lately, and when it was hard to connect, I would make audio recordings of them for him to listen to later.

Yes you guys are VERY lucky Happy for you all![]()

That is a wonderful gift! Hearing their voice is so important sometimes. I recall bedtime stories that were recorded for those occasions I needed them.

It's good to see you!
The anniversary of my fathers death just passed. Every New Years eve when the clock hits midnight is not a happy moment for me, because he died New Years Day 1990. So many years ago but still painful. What a wonderful man...
