This is so important, in absolutely any relationship. When we start taking one another for granted, it's the crest of a very slippery slope.

I say 'thank you' a lot. When he says something especially poignant, that he said because he knows I need to hear it in that moment, or does something that might not have been what he had in mind for that moment, but he recognized I needed it, I simply say thank you. Just to let him know I recognize what he's doing for me, and I appreciate it.

I pay attention to his moods. It makes me happy to give him what he needs in that regard. And is a way of showing my appreciation, as well.

Respect, consideration, affection... all the things he gives me, I give back to him. This keeps us both in a positive place, so that when I need Daddy, or he needs his girl, we are in a solid position to answer those needs.:heart:

Daddy: Because I could eat you all day long and never get full!
