I love baking, although lately..my cookies haven't been up to my standards. Peaches always leaves with a pocket full though..so maybe they aren't that bad. ~giggles~
And darn fine it looks there too!
Hmmm. Baseball games season openers. Rummaging through the freezer.......ohhhhh look, a box of left over Thin Mints! Setting that carefully on the counter. Here we go. Several dozen packages of assorted hot dogs, red hots, Kosher and bratwurst. There are......hmmmmm. Okay then. Starting a pot of beer simmering for the bratwurst and dropping them in to cook first, then crisp up on the grill. Sauteeing onions and peppers. Getting out the mustards - honey, spicy brown, yellow, dijon and catsup for the dogs. Relishes. Steam some buns. Break open some bags of potato and tortilla chips. Make some nacho sauce. Still have sliced jalapenos....yep. Open some cans of baked beans and mix in some brown sugar, a pinch of cloves, put some bacon on top of the casserole and slide them in the oven. Thinking fast....what else - OH.....popcorn and peanuts. Do we have salted in the shell peanuts.....of course we do! Plenty of beer and soda on ice in the coolers. Getting the first of the hot dogs off the grill and starting some of the brats. Smells like baseball season has officially begun.......)
