Humming and wandering the kitchen, getting the goodies ready for the family.

So, for a Tuesday evening lets go with some Chinese fare tonight. Chicken Stir fry with jalapenos to spice things up, some fresh broccoli salad with bean sprouts, jasmine rice. I think egg drop soup will be good.

Hot green tea and I got the Tsing Tao beer chilling.

Adore it ... and I cannot eat Jalapenos. Only in Guac and only in extreme moderation.

I'll stick with the Salad and the soup and savor every morsel

(Wearing the white chef jacket and apron Daddy set out for me with a black skirt and my trainers for now I tiptoe out of the bedroom listening to the quiet sounds of Daddy's sleeping breathing and smiling to myself - heading into the kitchen to finish putting together the dinner for the family. Daddy has everything set out, clearly marked and labelled and ready, including having written all of the fortunes for the home made fortune cookies and stacked them neatly next to the refrigerated rounds of dough. Looking through the stack I see there is one for everyone, pocketing the one for me and replacing it with a strip on which I carefully write a fortune for my Daddy. Whisking in the egg gently with chopsticks as the soup simmers keeps it from scrambling although I'm sure Daddy could make it look even lacier. Setting aside about half of the chicken stir fry before adding the jalapenos to make sure there is plenty for those sisters and Daddies with tender tummies. Brewing several pots of each of both oolong and green tea and setting them on the table with traditional Chinese handleless tea cups - Also brewing up pitchers of sweet and unsweet ice tea and setting those on the buffet line along with pitchers of ice water and goblets filled with ice. The broccoli salad is finished and I nibble at a small floret while the cookies finish baking and the rice finishes steaming. OH - I almost forgot - pulling a large kettle out and filling it halfway with ice before I begin layering in the cold Tsing Tao beer. Using, blue willow china I set a plate and bowl at each place at the table, carefully setting the silverware and napkins in place and adding a pair of fine ivory looking chopsticks with a chopstick rest at the head of each place. Turning off the oven so the cookies can cool and set hard and making sure the covered dishes of stir fry and jasmine rice are placed attractively on the warming trays. Finally the cookies are placed in a shallow grass basket - I made sure to leave the end of the fortune with each person's name on it sticking out of the folded cookie slightly so everyone would know which cookie to pick. Taking Daddy's cookie I tiptoe back into my room to place it on the table next to the bed. Looking around I think Daddy could have done a much better job with dinner tonight but he was tired and needed his sleep. I was just glad I could help him....)

"I am so glad you're in a nicer neighborhood. Get yourself one of those relaxation CDs - mine is a rainstorm, thunder and all - it lasts for hours and I go right to sleep once I turn it on.....the only down side is - now every time it rains I think I'm supposed to go to sleep."

LOL .. And ... I've got some good news of my own. I may have my very own Daddy! *giggles and claps my hands, bouncing on my new bed* It's still early, yet, but we meshed sooo well! And ... drum roll please! ... he's single!

Oh, it's so quiet .. but it's very nice not having to hear the police sirens, and the neighbors yap-yap-yapping dogs. Plus, its much closer to my work. Don't bet I'll tell my boss that, mind ... He'll be calling me in constantly, and me not being able to get overtime!

*lays the phone down to charge as she just got off the phone with Mr Potential, and giggles, nibbling on some dry cereal*

Perhaps i should have drunk the coffee this morning as i almost got hit by a car. Only reason i didn't is another car honked and i looked to the right (AGAIN), i'm pretty sure the other car turned out of a street in front of the car and almost getting me, I think it must have been speeding because it wasn't around when i'd just looked. Woke me up that's for sure.

The kids, teachers and teacher aides loved the cupcakes. Kids had a ball with some puff paint i made, i even had kids from other rooms come down to join in. It's just self raising flour, salt and water. Then once painted microwave it.

Perhaps i should have drunk the coffee this morning as i almost got hit by a car. Only reason i didn't is another car honked and i looked to the right (AGAIN), i'm pretty sure the other car turned out of a street in front of the car and almost getting me, I think it must have been speeding because it wasn't around when i'd just looked. Woke me up that's for sure.

It's just equal parts self raising flour and salt and add water till it's pancake batter consistency and then microwave for 20-40 seconds (sometimes more).


So i start the day almost getting hit (I won't tell you how damn close it really was) and end it violently throwing up
