All you little and Daddies in the path of those storms, please stay safe. We've got one coming our way(Central IL) and I'll be at work overnight. Thankfully, there is a large cooler I can hide in if need be. I'm taking my weather radio to work with me, as I'm terrified to miss an important weather announcement.

I'm not sure how much I'll be on through the weekend. I work overnight tonight and tomorrow night, and then again Monday night and Tuesday night. It's exhausting!

And, for my Daddy, I miss you and love you. I hope your day went well, and you sleep sweet when you finally go. :rose:

The storm seems to be a fast mover based on doppler. Maybe it will dissipate before it gets any worse. Positive thoughts to everyone in that storm's path.

I'm hoping! I have a friend in St. Charles, MO and she texted me to let me know that the sirens went off there, but she and her girls are ok.

Flirt will be happy not to be here tonight - LOTS of major storms - weather radio keeps going off with tornado warnings - they are talking about an area not far from my job that got a great deal of damage and casualties, not sure yet if there were any fatalities. CA I hope you're in the basement and Photo there was a possible radar signal for tornado in Gillespie - OFallon just had a wall cloud sighting so take the radio with you to the cooler!"

"Glad your friend in St Charles is okay - Earth City is where they had the damage - on I-55 in Alhambra, IL two semis were blown onto their sides about 20 minutes ago. They are saying that the southern area - south of St Louis City and into Jefferson County Missouri could still get hit again as there are more storms building up out in western MO and headed east...."

The warning they just issued is for the storm that blew through there, I'm assuming anyway. Fast moving storm, 45 mph with 60 mph winds.

"Well...........ummmmm........sort of. Under the metal futon frame seems to be the sturdiest, most protected area in the house - otherwise it's a single-wide manufactured (a mobile home with the wheels off :D) and there are no interior rooms or basement. So far, in the 8 years I've lived here I've never had to crawl under the futon yet!":cool:

Flickering power, but it never went out completely. The warning has expired, so all is well. I still hear rumbles in the distance, and we're still under a Flood warning.
