ooh whatcha making? im not picky well not completely ( no bran)

"I'm thinking oatmeal/raisin/walnut if I can figure a replacement for the milk (which I'm out of and don't feel like going to the store for) if that sounds appealing. I can toss in some cranberries and orange zest if you like too."

I have no idea what you could substitute for the milk. If I don't have a recipe to follow, I'm lost when it comes to baking. Cooking meals I can improvise just fine.

Oatmeal/raisin/walnut sounds great to me!

All of this muffin talk has me in a breakfest mood despite it being supper, think I might go reversies tonight.

Muffins are great anytime of day! :D

Those are delicious cookies. Though I think chocolate chip is my favorite.

Indeed they are, I just devoured the ones I made. :D

The dozen I've made earlier today I'm saving for my breakfast this week. I usually only have one day off a week so all the major cooking & baking gets done in between the shopping, cleaning, and other errands. The joys of a single dad. Whee.

"Yes - definitely chocolate chip are my favorite too although our Cookie makes mean sugar cookies. Fluid of any kind balances the milk - a little extra oil and egg and I used half the sugar and some maple syrup instead. I'm a great improviser. In a pinch you can use applesauce instead of the oil or the egg and brown sugar bakes a lot moister than white sugar too - as long as your flour, baking powder/soda all stays the same you can add and subtract just about to your hearts content. I used to keep evaporated milk in the cabinet just in case but I must have used the last..."

"I hear that - did it plenty although I admit, I usually had two days off a week unless I was working two jobs or in school. I used to love my crockpot - and thank god for macaroni and cheese and hotdogs - I think that's still both my sons favorite meal;)"

It's going to take me a few years of practice before I can even think of doing what you're doing. I'll stick with the box mixes for now.

I work two jobs. Job # 2 is usually just Saturday but sometimes it's also Sunday, like next weekend - 8 hours on Saturday and 6 on Sunday. I don't have a crockpot, but my daughter doesn't like stews/casseroles/mixed dish foods. The one soup she will eat is a recipe of my ex's (her family calls it spaghetti soup) which is inexpensive and easy: boil the pasta with some beef bouillon, don't drain it and add several cans of tomato sauce. That's it. She eats hers plain and I add Parmesan cheese, butter, and spices. Yummy. :D

"There are some great box mixes for muffins! I'm a big fan of those too. Not easy doing what you do with a little one - especially not with a broken leg and everything else going on right now. Will keep you all on my list!

Had a bad evening so far. Thought SO was have a heart attack. EMTs just left. Severe reflux. Way more drama than I can write publicly, suffice it to say I'll be up and down checking on the infirmed..
Hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend!

That happened to me RA. I made my Husband (no longer married) take me to the emergency room because i thought i was having a heart attack. It was awful! So very scary. Hope the SO is doing much better now. And you are too.

Krusteaz is a brand I like here, their cranberry orange muffins are really good. I don't really think too much about what I have to do, I just do it because it needs to be done. I think I'd get too overwhelmed otherwise. I was raised to be independent, so I get creative in finding ways to get stuff done. What really gets my dander up is that I need my ex's help to watch my daughter after school and when I work on the weekend. I know she's going to use that against me in the custody hearings...

Thank you for all your positive thoughts and prayers, they are truly appreciated!

"Yes - we have Krusteaz too - very good cranberry orange muffins. Yes, I understand about that too - unfortunate that your family is all so far away and that..... Anyway, you may be surprised yet at how well it goes. No problem - least I can do!"

"Glad it wasn't for you too CA! Hope too you had a great rest of the weekend. Weather radio says we're in a Tornado Watch and the news just said storms for the next four days - possibly severe storms tomorrow. Stay alert - you too Cookie!"

I did. I had a great weekend. Hope you did also. I had heard about the storms and tornado.. You and Cookie keep safe as well.

"Morning All - Code Red Weather Alert called and woke me a little after 2 AM and about 10 minutes later the weather cut loose. Sounded like a pretty good storm but eventually I went back to sleep. Imagine my surprise this morning to find a tornado had gone through part of the area - Hope our sister CA is okay and that she has power - lots of places out I hear. Got to get moving, traffic will probably be a bear this morning. Ya'll be careful out there! Hope Cookie gets to sleep late to catch up - I'm sure little Flirt woke her up."

I've experienced a tornado in my upstate NY city. The very small one touched ground 4 blocks from my house and head towards us, then JUMPED over us, traveled a half-mile to the park where it did its most damage.

Does anyone here have a fetish for calling their partner Daddy? Want to be a good little girl for a older man? It's one of my all-time favorite fantasies. It gets me off almost immediately.

Very much so.
