I've been a productive little girl today. Now if I can continue that trend.... I'm just not into this grading that must be done.

Walks in late, flustered and trying to do too many things all at once, calling out a hearty ''Good morning'' to all the darling Littles and growing band of Daddies.

Prepares coffee tray for two hurriedly, but taking care to ensure it is complete, then spots a fresh jar of Coopers Marmalade. Knowing where it must have come from, he spots the oh so dear little OK reading quietly and calls to her. As she joins him they exchange the briefest of morning kisses, before settling down at their usual corner table, OK busy with the comics and himself with the racing pages.
Theirs they have long ago decided will be one of public gentility and private bliss, meeting her eyes over the pages, he brandishes complimentary winners enclose tickets for a local jumps meeting.

Returns the greeting with a welcoming smile and Little OK slides over, making room to share the comics with her sister.

Such a lovely breakfast and time spent with wonderful and dear people to me. Just back from shopping ... roses and plants and feed and groceries.

Just time for a shower and getting properly dressed for the races with such a clever and handsome escort. Never been to the Winner's enclosure ... perhaps we'll make a tour of it? Take some time just for ourselves.

See all the Littles & Daddies later.

Well I'm glad you've enjoyed our breakfasts away from our bubble. (Just wait until my Baby girl sees the world cruise tickets and has to start packing as we get home from the races)

Keep well lovely Littles and my fellow Daddies, we'll both see you anon.

OH, INL and Cookie asked about my bees...They are very active now with the warmer weather. My lawn is about a foot high because the lawnmower is broken *sigh* but I don't mind, really. We have lots of wild flowering weeds, like vetch, Lamium purpureum, henbit, and others that the bees enjoy. I planted lots of bee balm, and mints as well such as Chocolate and Orange mints as well as good old Lemon Balm.. When they flower the bees just hum. Right now they are in the, weeping cherry, crab apple and wild plum trees.. you walk underneath trees and you can just hear them buzzing around.

We've had a rough time though. We haven't taken any honey from them in the last two years because we've lost so many either to hive beetle infestation or colony collapse. It's really harder to tend for bees than you'd think. There is a lot of checking that has to be done to make sure the queen is ok, brood is being laid and tended to, and comb is being drawn out.

I could take the opportunity here to say if I had more help, it might not be such a hassle, but far be it from me to complain :D

I spent intellectual time with my Little One and her roommate: We sucked down lattes at Starbucks, they typed some of their theses, and I tried to write.

I just don't understand the younger generation some times. Their idea of a debate retort is "Dude, chill."

Dude..wait.. you mean you don't know how to chill?

LOL, Seriously, I can't debate. I am perfectly aware that everything that comes out of my mouth is just my opinion. You can either agree or disagree, and it's not my job to sway you one way or the other.
UNLESS you are a dick...in which case your opinion does NOT matter, and mine always trumps yours regardless of any intellectual merit it may or may not have.. :D:D

I went on a rant, giving my opinion, back with facts, on something. A response was, "Dude. Chill." Seriously? Is that person's education so terrible that's the only way he can express his feelings on my opinion? Gawd

There, there, Daddy RJ..it will be ok. You should know by now that you are from an entirely different generation..with a different skill set than what was perhaps taught to the young one who lacked aplomb to verbally wrestle with you..:p

I should know better than to expect someone on Lit Forums to be able to engage in debate when that person is a GB troll!

Here are my bees, btw..All this talk prompted me to go down and check on them. Yes, I'm allergic, but no, I don't get stung, so I don't bother with a suit when I'm just opening it up for a little quick-see. When we "rob" the hive for excess honey or go into the brood chamber where the queen is, that is when they can get a little fiesty, and you might want to suit up.

That last one shows a little hole that the bees are patching with propolis, and I thought they looked cute poking out like that.. :D:D

RA, thank you for sharing your bees with us! It seems it is a tad more complicated than just placing a box in your yard and calling, 'Come here little bees! Go to your new home and make mama some honey.'

BWHAHAHA! Would that my powers of persuasion were so finely tuned...I'd be getting more than honey in my yard.. :D

WOW, that is way cool! Thank you for giving an update and neat pictures. Is it too early to tell what sort of year it will be for them? You are my new hero!

I think my issue is that I don't think I deserve to be treated like a Queen

Oh Sweetie, HUGS! Self esteem is a fragile thing. One thing I encourage my students to do is positive self talk and affirmations. Think of some good things about you and then practice saying them to yourself. Remind yourself that you are worth it. Be kind to yourself. You can even write them on post-its to give yourself a visual reminder.

You are smart, funny and very special. You have a big heart too. You deserve it!

That is so cool RA - and so cool to know that they don't sting you either. I'm allergic too but I know they are necessary to......everything. Wish I lived closer, I would love to learn more:rose:

*spanks TT*
Stop saying that.. so untrue. We all deserve to be treated like Queens. And, any Daddy worth his salt knows that the better he treats his little one the happier he is, as well. Your Daddy will also know how to talk you down when you're upset, and not mind the quirks or outbursts you may have. I'm not telling you anything you don't already know, my dear. Chin up, please! (Or I'll spank you again!!! :D)

You are all welcome. It really is fun.. I can't say I've never been stung, but I keep an Epi-pen here in case I do. Really though, unless you are going deep into the hive, they just sort of light on you, crawl around and fly away. I think what happens is people freak out, start swatting, and send out fear pheromones that signal the bees to start stinging. Also, if you squash a bee, it releases a pheromone that tells her sisters to attack.. so it's very interesting.( Ha and not unlike here in this thread...so lurkers---beware.. muahahahah!)

Excuse me?

Did you say going deep into the hive? That sounds so.................... well, dangerous ;)

You are welcome to inspect my hives anytime you'd like, if you are in the area. Provided you aren't scared of what's inside buzzing around. And the honey is like none other.. Sweet, rich, perhaps made more so by the work involved in getting to it, but delicious nonetheless. ;)
