Well this is a treat, my sweet baby peaches ande little sis OK taking over the kitchen. Love you girls.
It is nice to relax a bit. I have no doubts what so ever that this is going to be some damn fine chili.
Shower and a drink time for the old man. :D
(any back washers available?) ;)
:rose::rose:

(Giggling) "I think dinner is far enough along that I can take a break to scrub your back Daddy! Dos Equis? Amber? Corona? or Crown?":kiss::kiss:

(Laughing) "Yeah - you gotta get it into the oven fast or the 'locusts' gain control... The SO really likes if I add about half a can of RoTel to it too - really gives it a little kick."

When Progeny was in elementary school, they had a celebration for the kids - K to 5. I was asked - strenuously - to help in the kitchen. I arrived and was shown what the kids requested I make:

There were 6 boxes of elbow macaroni, several bricks of assorted cheeses, milk, flour, and nutmeg. The school dietician/head lunch lady laughed and told me that my son assured her that my mac and cheese was "more assumer" than hers.

Before I put the pans in the oven, I added ham, bacon pieces, and topped with tater tots.

There were no leftovers, even the nuns from the school adjacent convent came in and grabbed some to "make sure it was okay for the children."

Been a long week baby, I poured myself a wee bit of Black Velvet and some coke.
I'm hitting the shower to get the soy smell off, oriental day at work today.

Oh my sweet baby peach, I do love your back washing abilities, an such. ;)

"Wonderful when your kids laud you for awesomer things that can be relayed in public......." (Realizing that sounds even dirtier than is meant, hurrying to explain.....) "My oldest told his kindergarten class that his Mommy was beautiful because she had BIG boobies.......there was some mention of show n' tell......"

Mmmmmmm what wonderful sights, sounds and smells. While I appreciate good wine, I already started with some great Scottich Ale a friend and I brewed a few months ago. I think I will have to tap the lighter beer we brewed a few weeks later because it will go much better with chili. Anyone like a glass?

What can I contribute? I make a mean green-chili cheese puff appetizer.

"If you like but it's not necessary to contribute anything. Daddy usually does this and I enjoy helping him but he's tired so I'm cooking tonight to give him a rest. Those do sound good though if you happen to have some already made......."

Hmmmm, maybe I shouldn't let the girls alone for to long, girl talk and all.:rose:

Us??? Girl talk??? Nooooo ... never, ever, Daddy ST *sips my wine and looks oh. so. very. innocent.

Peaches? Might just be my tastebuds? but we could use a hint more garlic & oregano, I think - but I like spice ... and the mushrooms are going in with the ricotta?

Stirs the pots and checks the heat before leaving the kitchen for Peaches and Daddy ST ... juggling my wine, my kindle, and a fresh tea, with mint & sweetener

OK, you are in charge of the kitchen for a while, my sweet peach and I have some catching up to do.
And, really, I believe you OK, just a innocent little lady. ;):rose:

(Nodding in agreement and tossing in a bit more basil for good measure too.) "I was still debating about the mushrooms - I think I remember that TT doesn't like them or I'd have put them in the sauce - I thought maybe layering small baby bellas in might work and then she could pick them out...."
