Hi daddies and girls. I hope your weekend is starting out well. (retreating back to my heating pad)

Feel better soon INL! {{gentle hugs}} :rose:

Doing the happy dance out of the door at work, across the parking lot and into the rush hour traffic headed home..... Later loved ones!

INL - heating pad? injury? cold? or our other/usual nemesis? Feel better (and warmer) soon sweet Sister:rose::rose::rose:

Hello Peaches!! Happy weekend!! :rose:

Not this weekend - the SO has to work and I really NEED to catch up on some cleaning (and bill paying, and writing, and laundry....) What about you? Big plans?:rose:

Family commitments, a wedding, laundry ... I have midterms next week too. So I shall be a busy bee.

Yes you will!

I hope the family commitments are fun ones - enjoy the wedding - endure the laundry - and study hard for your midterms (what are you studying if a sister BG can be so nosy as to ask?) - I'm sure you'll do well;):rose:

(I hope you're right - that WOULD be a happy surprise for a change )

So do you think the changeover to EMR has made things easier or harder than the old paper-based charts (like we've really become paperless....lollol)?

Honestly, I don't think we'll ever be 100% paperless. EMR is truly brilliant and I've worked with it live in a hospital in a clinical setting. The only thing is that older billers, coders, techs, and the like have such trouble getting into the habit of using it. It's hard to change ways that were set in stone (or paper ~ ha) for so very long.

In time, the more mainstream it becomes, it will make things go much more smoothly across the entire spectrum.

you're very right - and don't let's forget older doctors and nurses who cannot adjust to it. Personally I love our new office system (despite the periodic upgrades that botch everything up) and those records that STARTED as EMR records are so much more stream-lined. The only problem we continue to have is a staff failure to consistently name and 'file' everything from correspondence to diagnostic test results (not helped by a Dr who thinks he knows how to do it better than everyone else and likes the 'delete' function much too well-lol):rose:

Oh ... I dunno ... there's something to be said for job stability. :D

P.S. I started as a Nursing Student, wound up as an XRay tech, and found my way to HIM .... ;)

Daddy loves it when his little girl is a bit tipsy. It makes her much less inhibited, and daddy so loves what happens when she is a free spirit!
