They've killed at least 3 in recent days under questionable circumstances including a 13 year old shot in the back 3 times, one disabled in Charlotte, NC and one with his hands up in Tulsa, OK

Charlotte is erupting in riots, Tulsa may follow.

When will they learn not to resort to their sidearms first?

Well, if you do not care about investigations or facts,

The yeah, I'll give it to you, it looks pretty bad.

I think Les Deplorables should riot and call for the deaths of police officers again, and this time more loudly.

Friends of Colin should begin boycotting practice and games until we get all those blue pigs off da streets so homey's grandma can live under his protection...

And they should continue looting the local Walmart for big screen TVs because what good is #Blacklivesmatter if you can't watch in HD

There are tons of problems with policing in this country. To make matters worse, my city is dumbing down the requirements for becoming a cop in the name of diversity, when the exact opposite should be happeneing.
My interactions with police has been limited to traffic infractions. I adopt an attitude of complete cooperation. I'm polite. I speak as little as possible. I make sure the cop knows I am not going to make any moves without her approval. If they tell me to do something, I do it. they are the authority. If i believe I have a fight, court is the time for that. You can never win a fight with a cop on the street.
What happened to that man in Tulsa was awful. The police work sank to the level of criminal malpractice, in my opinion.
However, what is so fucking hard about doing what the Goddamn cop tells you to do?
Why can't we teach people that? Like it or not, society has given police authority and citizens have an obligation to respect that. Citizens have an opportunity to refute police claims in court, and they are often successful.
Just shut the fuck up and do what the cop says.
I am absolutely not blaming the victim in Tulsa. Those cops should be fired and arrested. That was an execution.

They are civil servants. They work for us.

Far too many people have forgotten that.

That would be a good philosophy for policing. From what I've heard, that's the approach of police in parts of Europe. Police here are becoming militarized. Even down to the appearance of their vehicles, it appears intimidation is the objective.
But, still, how does a disabled motorist end up getting killed? It is perhaps the most benign police encounter you can have. Every interaction has at least two components. Antagonizing a cop in this situation by no means should get you shot. But antagonizing a cop with a gun is never in your best interest. Antagonize him in a court room in front of a judge, not on the street, where the cop is judge, jury and executioner.
You are right, cops should protect and serve. I don't think they even have that slogan on their cop cars anymore.

But they do have a job to do. And citizens have an obligation to obey lawful orders of the police. Do what they say and bitch about it later. Could save your life. Unless you are looking to be a martyr for a cause.

That being said. American cops are trigger happy and quite often racist. Even more reason to immediately comply with their orders. Fight the fight in courts, media, and at the polls. Not on the roadside surrounded by armed racist.

Don't you know? Lack of diversity is how evil "whitey" holds minorities down. We needs Mo social Justice Po Po's.

What iz you fool'in me?

I commend the officer on her marksmanship. When you shoot, shoot to kill otherwise keep it in the holster. My initial reaction was poor judgement in pulling the trigger.

I hear his hands were up so there was some level of awareness on his part . He didn't comply with orders and went back to the vehicle and was reaching inside for something. If this is true, no reason to be trigger happy but also a tough call if your a cop with a bulls eye on your back these days.

Da rulz be different for those oppressed by evil whitey Dog.

Your law n order view makes you sound like one of the Deplorables lol.

Such an ignorant prairie nigger.

Funny reading once again today in multiple media pieces that a black man was shot by a police officer in Charlotte, after reading of the unarmed black man shot by a police officer in Oklahoma the other day, and the 13-year-old black kid shot in Ohio last week (or whenever) by a police officer...

Why is it that the victim's race and sex is always prominently highlighted - as long as it's "black" and "man"?

Why doesn't this media just as factually cite the police officer's skin pigmentation and sex in their "reporting"?

We know why.

BTW: there're two common denominators shared by all these shootings, regardless of skin pigmentation or sex of either victim or shooter...

The first is that the police have been the shooters.

Anyone want to guess what the second common denominator is?

I have seen no statistical evidence that they are "trigger happy."

I have, however seem mountains of evidence that some of the more culturally homogeneous neighbor hoods that they are forced to police are tremendously trigger happy killing each other with a gleeful abandonment that measures up to many of the most popular video games on the market.

We turn our focus on the police because it is to politically incorrect to have "an honest conversations" about the real problem, which is not poverty, oppression or lack of education, but the soft bigotry of low expectations...

Thugs and criminals are not on public payrolls therefore it is stupid to ever compare the two and our expectations of each group. Cops are shooting unarmed people and you blame it on the color of their skin and background as if they are lesser humans. You are a vile, fat, prairie nigger who rents gooks
Therefore you should just stfu.

I think rioting in the streets call for intersecting fields of fire, but that's just my opinion.
