I have recently contacted a couple of Editors through the Volunteer programme and haven't recieved a response so I thought I would try here. I am looking for an Editor for my first story, which is currently two chapters (approx 2000 - 2500 words per chapter) and I am now writing the third.

It is D/s BDSM based (consensual MaleDom/femsub). Could anyone please help me?

You might get a better response if you switch on your Private Messages. Go to User CP (top left of this page) then click on Edit Options (in the left hand column) and then tick Enable Private Messaging in the second box down. Finally click Save Changes at the bottom of that page.

I'm still trying to get up the nerve to offer myself as an editor. Oddly enough it was easier to post a story than to volunteer for editing. I guess being responsible for my own writing isn't as scary as playing midwife to someone else's. Luck on you for your editing and story.

LOL, i understand what you mean, i'm not sure i could have the responsibility for someone else's editing - my grammar is just too damn bad! Although the editors here seem totally ace, especially the few that i have come across.

And AS is a damn good author too....scorching HOT!

LOL, your words echo mine from a bit ago.

I don't pretend to be an English major, but I'm good enough to make stories presentable so they are not picked apart by Lit readers. If you're interested you can offer to edit a story and then I could take a second look and give you feedback on what I think. But again I'm no expert, just willing.

Maybe it's enough to fortify your confidence... ?

You are capable of so much yet seem content to conform to mediocrity. And I have placed my vote likewise as you seem to have easily shrugged off my suggestions. Makes me wonder why I bothered at all.

Disulliosioned all over again. And I had such high hopes for this talent.

Well, perhaps I am being a tad melodramatic. The story is quite good but the paragraphing at times seems to be a bit long. Dunno, maybe maybe what I see on Word equates to that, but I didn't think so.

You're a talent to be reckoned with.

AS - thanks for your comments, i appreciate whatever feedback i am given, being a newbie writer. Thanks also for your efforts with the first edit, i know i emailed you to say that and also told you i had found someone with a little more experience in this category who has also offered some great suggestions so far, so i really hope i have not offended you at all, it is never ever the intention to openly offend anyone. Maybe thats the subbie side of me emerging ;-)

I am always, always open to suggestions and constructive critism so i take on board everything you say and i hope that i don't continue to conform to mediocracy, it's something that i hate to do in all areas of my life, especially in writing. i know i have some deeper talent buried way down so hopefully this will come out in the second chapter.

I'm happy that the story has recieved a number of votes and about 1850 views so far, so i guess i'm on the right track somewhere as its only been a day since it was accepted.....i don't really know how these ratings and things work.

My offer still stands if you want anyone to look over the concluding chapters of your marvellous piece.
