I just got this today....

I'm not a great photographer, but I will learn...these were taken a few minutes ago....Myst and Cymbidia would probaly know all of these........but I will state what they are.

First...an Australian Opal I cut....

CH

Next a Rainbow Moonstone pendant that I have been working on lately...

CH

Pic of you?

You know, these digi camera's are fun to use in other ways too :p

Next...This piece only needs to be polished...it has a raw Australian Coper Pedy Opal and a dark Ruby cabachon...it's a combo of fine and artistic.

This is one of the first pieces I ever made....

This is a copper pendant with a Tigers Eye with some design done with oxidizer.

Here is a complex Citrine cut....This one took me a while..phew.

CH

Now THAT one I really like. How long did it take you to cut it? I've always been amazed at the fine cuts in stones and how they are so perfect.

Nice work, CH. I like them. You might want to not get so close with the cam, though. They are a little blurry. :)

These are lovely.

I like the Citrine of course, being that I am a Scorpio.

Nice work CH! :)

CH you're a very talented gemologist, but I wish I could see your stuff better.

Unless you are using a cheap cam, like the under $100 variety, perhaps you are not focusing correctly. And remember the flash.

The digicam I use at work takes really good pics and has an infra-red autofocus, but it has different settings for close in and far away shots, so I have to check and make sure its set correctly.

I'm not sure if your cam has all these doo-hickies, but hopefully you will get better at using it and we can see some clear photos of your stuff.

I think you do really nice work.

Well I ended up working on it for approx. 10 hours....

Cheyenne...You allmost have to be a perfectionist to do it.

PC it's a Kodak DC25....I invested in this cause I got sick of the photographers exscuses, but I will just have to muddle through and figuire it out.It is downcast today outside...and thats where I'm making my attempts.I have no doubt that I will figuire it out,all I need is practice.

Or maybe an arrowhead I found here in Texas?..from the style I would guess it was used by a Commanche..and I think it's about 200-400 yrs old.

Maybe some raw A-B grade Emeralds from my most recent trip?{still in matrix though}
