Does anyone remember how at the beginning of the War with Iraq, how the American troops found a massive amount of cash and gold seized from Saddam?

What ever happened to all that money?

From what I've read is that he had approx. $7 billion in cash in the country along with assets world wide.

I just don't recall where that seized cash went to?

If you was a terrorist insurgent and they wanted you to take away 400 tons of explosives, would YOU do it for less than 7 billion?

Hell no, I have my pride damnit.!!!

the money is still frozen. A good deal of it has been used to pay off claimants against the Saddam regime. Sadly, the claimants who are getting the money are big bussinesses. The administration refused to let large shunks of it go to individuals who had been hurt if I remember correctly. Specifically, I believe they refused to let the pilots who had been mistreated and sued collect.
