curious about the comment counts

I peeked in at the Portal, I hadnt done so in a long long time, and there is my name, up there with 849 comments posted. I was gone for a while, and post as anonymous,BUT with my name at the end of a comment, so not to mean anonymous hateful FB or anything else to do with FB. This is about comment totals. I doubt I have even read that may poems since I have been here, much less commented on that many. Even counting my own when I work a poem on the PC part. Last time I saw it before my old computer died, I had 67...

I think they once only showed total comments for the preceding 3 months. Recently the thing was changed and now shows all comments you've ever made. I'll buy off on the number - for a time I kept tabs on my comments - you'd be surprised how quickly that number can grow, especially when inspired.

It appears that originally the count was reset each month--best I can tell. And now it's showing a total of all comments ever made.

I think they once only showed total comments for the preceding 3 months. Recently the thing was changed and now shows all comments you've ever made. I'll buy off on the number - for a time I kept tabs on my comments - you'd be surprised how quickly that number can grow, especially when inspired.

Oh, I just posted the same thing before seeing your answer. I think that must be right. I just saw mine and wondered how I made so many. lol

LeBroz, Eve, thanks, That makes total sense, I will buy off on that as a cumulative total as well. I was pretty hyper there for a while

I just went and looked at it out of curiosity and it says I've posted 452 comments. I know it was way over 500 at one point. LOL! Go figure.

when that whole PC/ portal thing started, I was second on the list. I remember who was first and that wonderfully sweet person got a jerk troll from the GB harrassing her about her PC's and then she cut back. That is why I did too. Never wanted my PC's to draw attention to me or anything I said, not in that way, anyhow. <shaking my head> oh well, I guess it doesnt matter now, huh IM out in the open

The portal thingie, its , umm, I dont know how to tell youto get there. Youhavent missed anything, just another sourse of misery here for so many people. Go to story index and I think you can get to the FeedBack Portal from there.

It shows the most recent comments made by anyone, and on the right of that, a list of the most commented upon stories, poems and the list of peoplewho have made the most comments....

good to see you back, you sweet lil brat!!!

I'm good I'm good. Changed hair color a few times, got a few new piercings, blew up my car in a flamy wonderous wreck, moved (again), and managed to beat myself up in the process. Just recently, I screwed up my knee, recieved a broken nose from a friend, smashed my hand under a falling dresser when I fell through a window (don't ever try to break into your house through a window taller than you are on a plastic chair standing on muddy ground), had my wisdom teeth out (*cringe cringe crie*), fought with the fam, found out my back is inoperable, and I have like two years left....you know, the usual for me. and I'm not a brat..I'm not I'm not I'm not!

in other news...I'good. I forgot how great this site is--and how nice all you guys are. Glad to be back.

I've got a new poem (not oh so recent, but I've got a few in the works totally unlike my usual writing style, and I'm still disappointed in 'em) in pending, and two storyish things that are horrible, but I loved em two much not to post. Got around to attempting to write my first erotic story...let's just say it sucked. I've realized most people write by experience, so I've gotta get me some.

lol, yeah, I think I did. It was like...waking up. Writing has helped, and it's soo nice to know that there's such a great place to come for editing help, and hugs as needed.
