I have certainly seen women who step out on their husbands without permission or discussion. I've certainly seen a few of those where the woman stays in the marriage because-- usually-- kids, and once-- money. That's what I call unfaithful.

I've never seen a successful relationship, where both partners are happy, where one partner's activities are defined as "Unfaithful."

I've seen open relationships-- I'm in one going on thirty-five years-- where one partner, or the other, or both, have outside partners sometimes or a lot of the time.

I've seen cucks a plenty, where the man can rabbit on endlessly about the bulls his wife brings home, (or more honestly, he brings home to his wife) and which pair of panties he wears while he takes the pictures of them together

(and actually, there's another word that isn't in much use right now, which is "wittold" meaning a man who knows his wife has a lover and is just fine with it)
