Crusaders (OOC)

the sacred lands of the all-father have been taken over by the infidel followers of Kamal, and his sacred precincts violated and destroyed.

The Western nations, in their devotion to the All-father, have launched a number of expeditions into the holy lands of the north, but so far have only managed to take half of them. This half is further divided by the various argumentative factions into Crusader States.

The wars are not going well, the infidels have begun to push back, and the crusaders are divided, but news comes to them of a holy artifact, The sacred hammer Mjhalnir. Mjhalnir could turn the tide of the war, and a desperate council is held in holy Nibelgard, to determine how the hammer will be retrieved.

Factions

There are many factions and various circles inside these factions, i hope to have politicking play a big part in the roleplay, and the various ways these people will relate to each other.

people are members of factions, nationalities, and races. The religion of the allfather is preached throughout the west, it is the state religion of almost all western states and is very martial in spirit.

Brotherhood of the Sword
Grandmaster-Seigtrig of Balmung
-monastic warrior order.
-famous as swordsmen
-composed primarily of Rothian Northrons.

Valkyric Sisters
Grandmistress- Edla Ice-heart
-named for the shield maidens of the all-father
-incredibly zealous
-famed as spear fighters
-composed primarily of Rothian Northrons

Order of the Wendigo
Grandmaster- Guy de Aelford
-composed of battlemages
-men and women accepted
-composed primarily of Merthan Westrons and Southrons.

Order of the Southern Moon
Grandmaster- Sir Didymus of Monte Ambrosius
-men and women accepted
-feared as mounted warriors, their charge has never been beaten back.
-composed primarily of Barian Southrons.

Knights of the Lynx
Grandmaster- Lleu Morgannwyg
-only men
-feared as stealth fighters
-composed exclusively of Cymrian Westrons

Knights of the Oak
Grandmaster- Cathaoir Ruac
-feared as raiders
-composed exclusively of Eirian Westrons.

Nationalities.

Rothian- from the Rothian empire, analagous to the Holy Roman Empire.
-Ruled by Emperor Acheron III
-largest nation of the west, contributes the most manpower
-Is friendly with Cymria, but shaky with Mertha, and tense with Baria.

Merthan- from Mertha, analagous to france and spain.
-Ruled by King Alphonse IV
-second largest nation, but the richest.
-is friendly with Eiria and Baria but shaky with The Empire and tense with Cymria

Barian-from Baria, analagous to italy
-Ruled by Archon Celestial II
-heartland of the church and HQ of the Archonate.
-primarily composed of rival city-states.
-Maritime Power.
-Tense with The Empire, and friendly with Mertha

Cymrian- from Cymria, analagous to britain, if britain had remained celtic.
-ruled by King Artos Paendrakon
-tense with Eiria and Mertha, friendly with the Empire. Famous for their Archers.

Eirian- from Eiria, essentially ireland.
-Ruled by High King Connla MacOengus
-tense with cymria, friendly with Mertha.

Alexander Reeder
He is a tall man who usually wears all black dark haired swarthy wiht a full beard and dark almost black eyes. He carries his war scythe over his shoulder. It has a black blade and a purple glow when he wields it but he is more feared for his necromantic magic. He calls on the souls of the dead to fight for him and is more friendly with the dead than most of the living. He joined the Wendigo order mostly for access to magic knowledge.
