I've got a new game to play. I'm going to set up a 'crowd fund' to provide one way tickets, and the transportation of personal goods, to the nation of choice of those so distraught over the election results that they just can't envision living in the US anymore.

Now, in order to qualify for this subsidy there are two rules;

1. You, and your family if moving as a group, must ALL renounce your US citizenship.

2. You have to have a destination nation that will accept you and provide evidence thereof.

I'm all about helping folks be happy.

You see no difference at all between giving an opportunity for people, if they wish to do so to volunteer their funds for crowd source funding, as opposed to using police power to extract resources from citizens to redistribute the others? You see no difference at all? Really? That might be your problem.

You make the same mistake that liberals here do when they think that they are being altruistic when they vote to take money from citizens for what they perceive to be altruistic purposes and give it to someone else. Voting to take someone else's money is not at all the same thing as your own charitable endeavors. I don't have the quote handy but Penn jillette said it best.

This is also largely the reason that conservatives in the United States reach into their own pockets at a far greater rate than liberals to help their fellow man. Liberals think all they have to do is vote for it and it's the same as doing it themselves with their own resources. Liberals are some of the selfish, greedy people on the planet.

The math about which states pay more in taxes than they receive in benefits is wrong.

The new California Republic might be able to deficit spend but when you're calculating all of the money the federal government has an all of the money that the federal government spends you have to take into account that their spending is only 60% revenue and 40% debt and simple deficit spending.

A large chunk of that is spending on defense with defense contractors building things in California only because of 55 electoral college votes and several representatives in the house. A lot of horse-trading goes on.

If all those Industries aren't in California where labor costs are high and relocated somewhere else California plunges into a major depression and no longer is the economic Powerhouse that it is now.

If California continues to turn its farmland into desert thereby raising their mean average temperature which means more moisture is held in the air and the California returns to the natural desert that it was before farmland started to become irrigated in large quantities they also lose the only thing they really have which is good weather. They simply become Arizona with a nice Chinese owned port.
