Whilst out shopping today, it occurred to me that I was missing some red stockings, so I tried a pharmacist - nothing but tans and blacks, so I tried a department store and having wandered around the bras, found the aisle for stockings.
The courageous part of me asked a female assistant for red stockings under the pretense that I'd been asked to shop for the other half. A short, sharp comment towards the display of tans and blacks and a 'that's all we do' made me think - 'she doesn't believe they're for someone else', but I wasn't done, so asked if she knew where I could get some.
She again replied short and sharply, 'no sorry', so I disappointingly made my way out. So it's net shopping for me I think. I guess I'm after a specialist lingerie shop in the town if the daring side of me ever comes out again!
