Ok I hope there's somebody here that can help me with this.

I've created an photoalbum in a broswer, that I want to burn on a cd. Now my problem is that I want to have the computer open the index.htm page once the cd is inserted into the cd rom drive.

I've tried a couple of programs that claims to be able to do this, but it doesn't work.

Anybody here knows how to do it?

HTML pages aren't executable files. You may need to specify a program to open index.htm.

This is the contents of "Autorun.inf" from my hoyle card games CD:

---
[autorun]
open=autorun.exe
icon=hccg2.ico

[Sierra]
ProductName=HCCG2
ExeName=HCCG2.EXE
BitmapName=hccg2.bmp
InstallButtonX=70
InstallButtonY=320
CancelButtonX=220
CancelButtonY=320
---

("Autorun.exe" is a file that is on the CD as well.)

Every CD I've seen that will autorun has at least the autorun.inf file on it. Check to see if the programs that are spposedly making the CD "autorunnable" are putting an "autorun.inf" on the disk and what it contains.

I downloaded a free e-book on this very subject just the other day. I haven't read it, but I got the file from download.com:

http://download.com.com/3000-2251-9596972.html?tag=lst-0-10

It only has 4 user reviews, but they're all positive.

This is the description from the product page:

"In 5 easy steps, this ebook will show you how to Auto-Start .exe and .html files. It only takes a few minutes to get the CD ready, then just burn it with your favourite buring software. If you distribute .exe files on CD, you can make a html navigation system with all the programs you have on on the CD. Then just make hyperlinks so your clients can just download straight from the CD. No installation required."

This might tell you what to do for photo albums, but it may depend on the kind of file/program you've got.
