Covid predictions

Just saw something that reminded me of some of the predictions that conservatives, especially US conservatives, made about Australia (and the world more generally during Covid. From tyrannical leaders that would never give up power, to millions dying from the vaccine, to permanent masking, to being kept to your neighbourhood and not being allowed to travel, to higher rates of autism, to people being en mass forced to take vaccines, and lots of things on the same list.

So, I suppose my post is a question. Do conservatives ever reflect on all these massive and bold predictions and lose trust for the people who make them and are constantly wrong?

I have American style religious relatives (Australian but infected with that US brand of prosperity gospel and 'no hate like Christian love' types) who said multiple times that the entire rest of the family were going to die of heart attacks due to the vaccines, thankfully no one has.

I can continue the questions. I saw someone on here bragging about how a bunch of their political rivals were executed by secret courts for being pedos. But, do you ever go... hang on, they are out and about months later walking around. Perhaps people are lying to me.

Australian fertility rate for 2025-2026 is 1.42 children per woman. Replacement rate is 2.1 children per woman. Australia is dying out.................rapidly.

VAERS was deliberately created to be effective in tracking down possible adverse effects. It was never meant to be a precise reporting system for tracking actual side effects.

Canada is becoming Big Brother authoritarian. The Canadian government pushing assisted suicide for depression and poverty is a big warning sign. Most of Europe threw the doors open to immigrants because Europeans mostly stopped reproducing years before covid. India and Russia used Indian and Russian shots, which may be less harmful or completely harmless, so those are also worth watching.

And then there's this recurring theme you have regarding conservatives and Trump supporters. It's almost as if you can't see how well the economy is running right now. And, while I fully expect a downturn because nothing lasts forever, at this point in his Presidency Trump is enjoying the fruits of an economy that is still allowing people to buy homes, have jobs, and live greater than they were living under Biden usurious inflation rate and loss of quality of living standard. But, instead of seeing that all you can seem to comment on are things that you make up in your own head. Fake things like how you believe Trump is corrupt and grifting millions from his economic policies while society as a whole starves and goes bankrupt.

So, if we're going to talk about how stupid someone can be, I'm not sure if you have any room to talk given the above and your continual insistence that I have more than one account on this website despite the lack of evidence to support that claim as well as my refutation of it.

People forced to be vaccinated. Not a single person in Australia was forced to be vaccinated. A handful of people had a choice between their job and their desire to not vaccinate. But that is still a choice. Especially when there is a healthy welfare state and lots of conservative media that paid them big bucks to go on speaking tours. But, do you really want a nurse who doesn't believe in medical science? I don't.
