Virus name: SARS-CoV2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-CoronaVirus; 2 because it's related to the first SARS outbreak in 2003)
Disease it causes: COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 19)
Originally called: 2019 novel coronavirus (novel because it's a new strain of corona, discovered in 2019)
Effectively, this virus is natural-jungle no different than a lion choosing the weakest in a herd to attack and then devour.
Some experts state everyone in the world will eventually be exposed to this virus. Of those, around 17% won't experience any symptoms at all - they are the strongest of the heard. 80% of those exposed will experience flu-like symptoms, symptoms stronger in some and less in others, but all will survive.
For 3% of those exposed - the weakest among us - the attack will end up killing them. The virus enters their lungs and causes their lungs to begin filling up with fluid, which leads to pneumonia, which leads to ARDS, Acute Respiratory DistressSyndrome; basically, you can't inhale air and exhale CO2 as normal because your lungs are so full of fluid - you're basically drowning. This is when these folks are put on ventilators - because they can't breathe on their own. The lack of oxygen then starts to kill body organs: heart, liver, kidneys, etc. This is how they die. At that point, there is nothing that can be done for them: 50% of those ventilated die.
Just like after the lion's brought down her weak prey and is already sinking her teeth into it.
Alas, for all those exposed to SARS-CoV2 and survive, their immune systems become even naturally stronger against the virus the next time they're exposed to it. The strong don't just survive, they get stronger. And for them, the living, life goes on. So, STOP all your pathetic, emotionally hyperbolic, sensationalist drama queen crap and ENJOY to the fullest EVERY breath you're blessed to take.
For, as always, it's a beautiful day to die.
