I love a good cover of my favorite songs.

Some of my favorites:

Steve Miller doing Sam Cooke's You Send Me on Fly Like An Eagle.

In concert, Rob Thomas does a great version of Cyndi Laupers Time After Time. Who doesn't love that song? Seriously?

Coheed & Cambria, one of my favorite prog rock bands, do a cover of Journey's Faithfully and Night Ranger's Sister Christian. I love them both.

Then there's Marilyn Manson's version of Tainted Love, which I find better than the original by Soft Cell.

Are there any that you love that I should be listening to?

OH, I forgot all about Metallica's version of Turn the Page! It's very good!!

Coroner did a pretty decent cover of Led Zepplin's "Good Times, Bad Times".
The Ramones did a great cover of Surfin' Bird.
Richard Cheese does great covers, period.
The Cleverlys do a number of great covers, but I really like their version of the Black Eyed Peas "I Gotta Feeling".
The Hickoids did a great cover of Webb Pierce's "There Stands the Glass".
The Blues Brothers did a number of good covers.
ZZTop did a good cover of "I Thank You".

Just off the top of my head, based on my own personal preferences.

I've always liked The Wallflowers covering the Beatles - I'm Looking Through You

There's a movie called I Am Sam, and the soundtrack is a bunch of different artists covering Beatles songs. Several are good, some... not so much.

Ooo!!! The Wallflowers covered Into The Mystic.

Fucking amazing.

Ok I’m not a big Miley Cyrus fan. I'm a different generation of music. BUT she did a cover of Led Zeppelin Babe I'm Gonna Leave You.
She really put some feeling into the song.
I don’t know too many young artists today that could pull that song off. She did a really good job.

oohhh... I'll have to listen to that. I love that song

I saw her cover 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon a week or so ago on the SNL40 thing. I could only listen to it for a minute. hated it.

Turn the Page is my favourite cover from Metallica Although Bob Seeger's original is best.

And the girl that sing's Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Forgot her name.

Oh, YES! I can't remember her name either.

Hey, cute toosh.

Allison Crowe's version of Hallelujah is my favorite. Also look up Miley Cyrus' cover of "Jolene", it is actually really really good. And Neon Jungle's cover of Take Me to Church is amazing. I second the Richard Cheese recommendation too, especially his cover of Gin & Juice!

OMG, I can't believe we left off Hurt, Johnny Cash's cover and fucking HIGHER GROUND by RHCP.

I've let myself down.

--Sweet Dreams, Marilyn Manson
--Another Saturday Night, Cat Stevens
--California Dreaming, Beach Boys

I like Alana Davis' cover of Ani DeFranco's "32 Flavors"
I also like Bastille's mashup cover of Snap's "Rhythm is a Dancer" and Corona's "Rhythm of the Night"

There are some interesting songs listed I'm gonna have to look into.

--Black Betty, Ram Jam
--Venus, Bananarama
--Summertime Blues, Blue Cheer
