There is a very good article titled, "The Courtship of a Dominant Woman". I have made this mandatory reading for perspective subs.

I got to thinking about courtship in the lifestyle. Who does the courting?

I know that I am courted by male (and sometimes female) submissives, but are male Doms courted? Or does societal norms hold true and Male Doms have to court femail submissives?

Does the Law of Supply and Demand hold true in kink?

As a female sub/slave, I always felt it was more appropriate to be courted by the Dominant. This had nothing to do with stereotypical courting ideas though as I have agressively courted vanilla men in the past (and won them...LOL). I found the Dominants I was attracted to were OK with my making initial contact, but the courting was definately expected to be initiated by them.
