Court of International Trade kicks Trump in the taco.

Does this mean we're all done, now, with Trump setting tariff levels on his own authority?

As a lawyer, you should discuss this with @HisArphy to reach a consensus by Lit's legal beagles. I'm sure you'll be able to arrive at that decision by tomorrow and get back to us with your thoughts.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. ;)

Well, it's not finally settled just yet -- something this central to Trump's policies almost certainly will be appealed to the SCOTUS.

Does HisArphy confirm that?

In the meantime, calm should return, the stock market should stabilize, factories should scramble to get their orders in before it reaches the appeals level.

China will be grinning.

Putin will be happy over his oil issues.

The EU will be drinking wine in celebration tonight/morning, as the case may be.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. ;)

Wondering if importers can reclaim tariffs already paid,if so the mushroom dick monster has fucked up more than we thought.

Everyone calm down, the good news is all that insider trading wealth is safe and sound.
How many learned of this impending court ruling before markets closed?

This whole episode has been Trump manipulating the markets with his TACO pronouncements. But meanwhile he has let key inside people know ahead of time what he was going to announce. More defendants at the tribunals.

Court of International Trade? That can't possibly be a thing? Pirates beware! The COIT is coming for ya. :)
It's a Federal US Court that handles cases related to customs and international trade laws. It was established to resolve trade disputes and ensure fair application of these laws across the country. These judges are the experts on adjudicating international trade related issues. If they say the tariffs are illegal, they are. If Trump wants tariffs, he's now going to have to persuade Congress to pass law changes. Given the madness he's inflicted, econmically, it's very unlikely he can get a majority to vote for this.

He's now effectively a lame duck President thru his own stupidity.

Trump destroyed US relationships with key allies and is well on the way to destroying thousands of American small businesses and inflicting large increases in the cost of living using ILLEGAL tariffs. Even when he's gone it will take years to clean up the mess from this

They're waiting for 20 January 2029, when Trump FINALLY leaves politics forever.
It's a scary thought that Don Jr. could run for office, and his dad might remain at the White House with business as usual.

Cheers, I prefer cider.

It's such a brutal planet, it's such an ugly world....

Trump 2.0 falls apart before our eyes

The president is losing it

Late Wednesday night, Trump was handed his biggest loss when the U.S. Court of International Trade ruled his unilateral tariffs on nearly all U.S. trading partners illegal. Call it Liberation Day.

The day before, Trump stayed home, didn’t see the press and the sum total of his contribution to society was 10 rage tweets on Truth Social, threatening California, Canada, and Vladimir Putin, while praising himself and blaming Joe Biden for everything wrong on the planet.

Critics say it was the highlight of Trump’s second administration.

Heh comma heh comma heh!
