My first attempt at a Triolet as well as my first two attempts at illustrated poetry.
Care to RVC? <on knees> Please?

Who Am I? (This is the Triolet :D )

Cheyenne Michelle (The format didn't quite come out on this one, but I tried. ;)

Don't give me that hi-tone, uptown-type foolishness. Who Am I? ain't no, whatever it was you called it. The dang thing's a poem stuck onto your AV. Nice poem though, and the AV is prime, of course. So, okay, I'll let it go this time--if you say pretty please.

Rumple Foreskin

ps: I've RC & V'ed. Of course my opinions on poetry has even less credibility than my opinions on women. RF

Very nice, Minx! Like most forms (they all make my head swim on the rare occasion I consider trying to write them ;)), triolets are beyond me, but I liked it and the other as well. Very sweet. :rose: :)

Pretty please? ;)

Thanks, Rumple. I'm always on pins and needles when I submit something and I worked hard on making them "quality" poems.

Thanks, Min. The Triolet form isn't all that bad. Alex gave it a whirl, so I thought I would too and looked up poetry forms. Cheyenne's I have been working on for months. I hadn't been able to find the right words to fit. :rose:

Those were lovely, thank you for sharing them :)

My own attempts at poetry will most likely not make it to this site, seeing the feedback i recieved for the one i did post... people have a nasty habit of translating one of my poems into my whole outlook on life rather than a momentary musing. Alas...

Thank you for reading them!

I wish you would. I found the one you posted. My god that was intense! Powerful piece, D. I loved it! When I have a bit more time I'll be reading your stories as well. It would help a ton if you would put a link to your work in your sigline though. :D

Keep writing and submitting, please. If "Quarantine" is anything to go by, you are one to watch and learn from.

I had thought no one was interested in reading anything of mine. However, because you asked, milady, i will do put links in my sig line, and maybe even post a few poems :)

Tried a triolet

Here's one I wrote earlier:

Oyster
Whitstable trades on the oyster’s fame
As it was when the Romans declined
And fell. Across the sea the enemy came.
Whitstable trades on the oyster’s fame
Supplying nobles and peasants the same.
Smacks almost left to history’s mind
Whitstable trades on. The oyster’s fame
As it was when the Romans declined.

Thanks, D! I don't often read people I don't know, so I'd never read yours, but by posting on the AH you got my attention. ;) I'll continue to plug your work, because it's outstanding!
