currently I have a split pea soup with bacon jones, thanks to my fave sandwich monger, who also makes two daily custom soup kettles, rotating the types.

The split pea looks divine! Alas, I am the only one here who likes it. I also like a potato and leek soup with chicken broth instead of dairy. But probably mu favorites are French onion and black bean. Am currently making Kielba and lentils which would usually be done as a soup but I made it thick to be served over brown rice.

I'd do this damn near every day for brunch if I could pry my ass out of my comfy bed early enough to train over to Chinatown, where the Vietnamese joints there do it right and most importantly, inexpensively. Fuck them overpriced upscaling hipster imitations!
