What if you had a person that was seeing a counsellor, trying to get past some mental baggage. The person seeing a counsellor is either married or religious, such that sex is taboo, but they tell too much about sexual thoughts or appetites to the counsellor, who gets turned on. (this could happen with any combo of genders) That counsellor then misuses their position to seduce their patient...

Great idea. Someone in authority exploiting it for sex. Shades of teachers, police, priests, bosses, etc.

What if it goes the other way:

Person had a crush on an older classmate. The older classmate becomes a counselor, and Our protagonists decides to become a client in order to make contact with them again.

This might be most believable with female client, male counselor. Female client then goes, and describes her wild sex dreams, her acting out as a sexually adventurous college student..... ect. These stories start to turn the counselor on, but he tries to be professional.

Maybe she claims she is trying to become more religious and is having trouble processing her past behavior.

Actually, it was a male friend of mine telling me about going to a counselor and describing things he did with his wife, then watching as the female counselor started playing with her hair for the rest of the session...

Misusing a position of authority for sex is the same if the perp is counsellor, pastor, teacher, older kin. It's abuse, rape, not seduction, and all too common IRL. But in LIT fantasyland, anything goes.
