Could someone with an IQ of 70 earn a doctorate degree in physics or mathematics from an ivy-league university?

IQ represents a type of intelligence, but it isn't really useful as a true barometer of how intelligent someone is.

70 IQ, a PhD

No Mike but a 70 IQ will get you assisted living for a lifetime.

no. but why would you want to? stupidity is the best excuse of all. have some fun. i would join a french gypsy circus if i didn't have to live up to my potential

No cherylashi, what you say is wrong. IQ tests are a true indicator of intelligence and the only one. You are probably referring to those who are idiot savants. Such people have extremely low IQs but are gifted in a particular area, usually music or mathematics

nope tesla... there is no other way to determine IQ than the tests. You may be arguing that intelligence is something else than what is generally meant but if you do then say so.

It is you who is wrong

did i forget to mention that there's no talking in the corner? 'cause there's no talking.

There aren't very many people with low IQ's who have successful careers.
