Remember the good old days when assembly instructions had WORDS!

Bloody Hell! When did we grow so inept as a culture that decision was made that they only way we could figure out how to put something together was if we had full pictoral representation? I mean, isn't that why we have a picture on the box?

Talk about inefficient - I had instructions for something that was made out of wooden bars - the bars came 8 different lengths varying by 1/8 to 1/4 inch between each successive size!

Now the idiots that wrote the instructions had no identifying part numbers in the "instructions", but instead tried to represent the differences in size pictorally.

Grrrr!

I think it's so they can put it in all their products with out worrying about the language of the buyer.

It pisses me off though.

3) Ask for some help or threaten that you might cut your wrists open with the paper where the "instruction" is written on

It has to do with the language, and also they bought wholly into the misconception that men would be putting it together. Men know how to read diagrams, don't you know?

Try assembling an intricate kids castle on Christmas eve. You take all the parts... about 5 billion of them... out of the box, lay them out on the table, then reach for the instruction book, a very impressive looking volume. You open the manual to discover... it's written in Fucking KOREAN..... Aaaaaarrrrrgh!
