Do corsets need specific fitting? Surely the point is that they get laced up just as tight as you want.
Basques on the other hand don't have laces and do need to fit properly. They have to fit perfectly for the required result. There was a fashion during the eighties for basques to be worn as outerwear, happy times.
 
Some do need a more custom fitting, my wife is very busy but very petite. Also the front fitting her is important too, want something high quality and designed for her body.

I never have but when I do a google search for ‘custom fitted corset‘ they‘re out there. Check Etsy too. Some of those appeared to have multiple reviews. Good luck.
 
One day, long ago, I saw an image of a girl wearing a corset, her breasts and lower area were bare, but she had on thugg high stockings and a classic type cloak around her shoulders.

One of the sexiest images I ever saw.
