Corpus was on my short list of retirement places for awhile. I scrubbed it off the list last summer for exactly this reason.

Really bad in Corpus Christi. Hannah took a swerve and avoided Houston (it pasted Galveston, though). It caught Corpus Christi in an east-to-west storm (rather than a direct hit) and an E-W storm absolutely rips apart beaches.

Corpus was a Covid hotspot before the storm, there are no beds to be found in hospitals. Get hurt and you either suck it up or get airlifted to San Antonio.

Elective surgeries were postponed weeks ago, now quasi-necessary operations like stents are being postponed.

Sporadic torrential downpours here in Houston as storm bands come through but nothing truly serious.
