What I find interesting is that I THINK I've made up a cool name and then I google it online and whatyaknow...

it has a meaning and everything. So now it's my new hobby. I think I've made a cool, unique name, google it to see what it means and sometimes it's like OH YEAH,

but then sometimes you think you've got a name for a really sexy character and it means something like "little flower" or whatever. snerk.

Aditya- hindi, but cant remember what it means. I like it as a female's name, bit apparently its a male name.

Means the sun. The female form is Aditi.

My friends named their daughter Fathom, after the mermaid character in Mythology. Her first daughter from her previous marriage is named Jadzia, after Jadzia Dax from the Star Trek show Deep Space 9 (her ex-husband was a huge trekkie).

I also saw a sci-fi show where a female character was named Curtain (or at least I think that was how it was spelled).
