Romney wasn't the guy. In 2016, why should I vote republican? I don't want religious/old testament policies in place. I want to make sure that our energy policy takes rampant pollution into consideration. I'm over the angry old white guys who keep running! LOL

Unless you want a Christian Taliban policies and a war on women, Exxon/Mobile setting energy policy and global warming and poisoned water supplies (thank you Agri-business) then I got nuthin' for you on the GOP.

That said - forget about the Democrats as well. They only suck marginally less (albeit it is a decent sized margin). The non-Christian GOP is absolutely right about a lot of things: Welfare, TANF and EITC need to go. De-regulation of non-finance/non-energy based business like information technology, manufacturing, community banking and credit unions and small businesses in general is necessary. Loopholes need to be closed and the taxes flattened out.

So then what to do? Take a look at the Libertarians. They do not care who you fuck, marry, love or hate - just don't involve the 'public square'. They understand that smoking pot should not be a $40B dollar prison industry. They want a meritocracy where you are basically on your own, because they figure if you take care of you and yours, and I take care of me and mine then we are all taken care of. Small government, a foreign policy of non-involvement and individual freedoms basically sum up the party.

I happen to disagree with the party on national healthcare - but you can not have everything.

So in 2016, look at the Libertarians not the GOP or Dems.
