Conversations with yourself...

Honey I think everyone talks to themself at one point or antoher.... but so long as you realise it it's okay.

now on the other hand if you do like I was one day lol

I have a one sided conversation with myself, I don't talk out both parts. so it you are watching me you will think i'm talking to the air. what I'm actualy doing is answering the voice in my head that talks to me.
first time I did this I stoped and realised it, laughed my ass off.

my very first conversation with this voice, I remeber this one cause it's the one that made me laugh

voice in my head: why are you doing this? you know it makes you look like an idiot. they are all going to laugh at you

Myself outloud: I know what I'm doing so will you leave me alone. I'll do it and if.... (long puzzeled pause) who am I answereing? I'm alone in the room.

I no longer laugh when I start answereing him, now it's just bothering to know i'm talking to noone who isn't there.

so see, your not insane yet :D you've got a few more steps to go through.

I talk to myself all the time.

I just hate when I interrupt Me though.

It is too damn rude!

:D

I talk to myself all the time. Comes from living alone for so long with just cats for company.

:D

It usually starts as a thought..I then answer myself mentaly & so one & so forth then Finally when a verdict has been reached I voice *that* out loud... "No I'm not going to wear that bra with this top" or "I'll call that person later"

I think we should have a get-together everybody that converses with themself, and let our mental voices have a conversation while our physical voices have a different one.

Cat conversations are great. Mine can be such a snot but she always tells it like it is.

Me: I look fat in this.

Circe (my snotty gray Persian): Of course you do. You are not a cat.

Me: Does this color do funky things to my skin?

Circe: Of course it does. You are not a fluffly gray.

Me: Maybe if I undid another button...

Circe: It doesn't matter, you are still not a cat.

Me: I hope he likes me?

Circe: You should be worrying whether I like you.

Me: Bye, Circe. Be a good kitty when I'm gone.

Circe: Bite me!

It's good to see I'm not alone in my insanity.

You have a pretty tolerant cat. Mine are more like:

Me: Good morning, would you like me to feed you and pay all of my attention to you for the next hour?

any of the cats: You didn't offer all of your attention for the rest of the day, I'm not speaking to you for three hours

...3 hours later...

cat: Pay attention to me. I am your new god.

We have other cat psychics on the board?

This morning I'm putting on my work pants:

Snowball (the white kitty, who's evil)-Oh is it time for the pants game again?
Me- No you don't, back, back!
Snowball- Ohhh, I just want to rub all over them....
Me-Get away!
Snowball- I think I'll chase her all over the house!
Me- Just stop it already!
Snowball-Oh this is sooo much fun! Muahahaha.
Me- <Locking myself in the bathroom.>

:D

Yup...its working ;)

I am famous for walking around my house repeating words in a fake accent. I'm like a kid, or a total geek, I get pure enjoyment, rolling the syllables around in my mouth.

I do that too. Or I'll be alone in the house and just start singing the first thing that pops into my head. No, not usually real songs, just the words in my heading coming out in a song pattern. i'm sure it's a sign of complete insanity.

I talk to myself 24/7. I know I'll always get an intelligent answer :D

If for some reason I'm not immediately available, I find the dog to be a suitable stand-in.

This is me, right on the button. Minor exception, out of four cats, one is smart enough to talk to. She talks back to me. (When is my psy eval.?)

Thank God for dogs. I am so glad they can not talk. If Teddy Bear went around telling people what I told him, I'd be divorced, and probably in jail.

I feel so validated.... I have long conversations with myself all the time... and sometimes when I am sitting at my desk at work, I will suddenly answer myself out loud... this tends to gather a few looks from time to time from my co-workers, as it usually has nothing to do with work....
