Contest Awards

I was looking through past contest awards and wondered if anyone knows when the monthly awards are actually posted.

Here is what it said on the monthly contest site.

Results are usually tallied after the 16th
of the following month, and announced before the following month's end (i.e. August winners would be announced by September 30).

I just looked at the thread and it had February's contest winners. Am I missing something here? Or, is the posting that far behind? The thread was dated 10-31-2007.

I know that other contests winners are posted the day after the contest ends.

Last year, the monthly contests all got posted rapid-fire at the end of the year and the beginning of the next. The data is probably compiled on the date listed, but the actual announcements are a little more fluid.

Thank you both for your replies. I won it one time and I noticed it by accident about four months later. They did honor it and sent me a check. Maybe it had just gotten posted on the thread. Anyway thank again.
I seem to write a lot of stories but don't do much else on Lit. I do go to the contest thread once in awhile. Fun to read some of the replies. Seems like everyone is always shooting for last place. It's kind of like first place. Only one winner (loser). Oh, I do read stories. Forgot about that
