More seriously, the definition of a conspiracy theory demands circular reasoning and inability to falsify arguments. When any debunking attempt only strengthens the true believers, it's a conspiracy theory.

Most of the real secrets are shockingly mundane.

There is nothing like a good conspiracy theory for pure entertainment value. But most die under the sharp edge of Occam's Razor.

Now the case of poor Jeffery is a different kind of conspiracy theory.

The Epstein conspiracy theory has less moving parts then the non-conspiracy theory that he hung himself...from a bunk bed, shorter then he is tall, with sheets he wasn't supposed to have, while the cameras were broken and the guards asleep, in max security, Fed controlled, after they moved out his room mate a day earlier and took him off suicide watch. Don't forget Jeffery had dirt on everybody, a bank account in the 100's of millions and had beat this kind of rap in the past with the help of powerful people.

See what I mean?

It's simpler if the fucker was just strangled in his sleep and hung up like a dirty towel by an ex-Navy Seal hired by those in power who couldn't let him sing like a canary.

I tend to dismiss most of the Clinton conspiracies but yeah, there are a few too many bodies to dismiss them all. That's just too much of a coincidence.
I very much doubt Barr visited or if he did that his visit had much to do with anything. That would be unnecessary and supremely stupid even for the current administration.

There are quite a few of them out there to choose from some more elaborate than others.

the problem for me with any conspiracy theory is the second word in the description.

Below is the full definition of theory from Merriam-Webster.

Since every conspiracy theory I've ever read or heard of are long on speculation and short (to point of being devoid) on facts, definition 1, 4 and 6 just don't fit. That leaves
the rest which puts conspiracy theories in the area of belief. Anyone can believe anything, from a flat earth to some of the more mundane ones. But belief in something doesn't make it true, it's only the motivation to find facts to support the belief. Unfortunately some think that the two words 'belief and 'facts' are the same and interchangeable, so they manufacture that which will support what they believe. Of course manufactured facts are much like cotton candy, it evaporates under the hard rain of scrutiny.

So I read about those theories and look to see if they have anything to back it up. If not it goes into my "waiting proof" column. There's a whole damned bunch of them that have been there for years. Ain't seen no proof yet. Probably never will.

I think it is unlikely that the Clintons have had everyone who could testify against them killed, but if I ever have evidence against a Clinton, I am definitely putting copies and proof everywhere and with everyone.

The Clintons are in their 70s now, and once you're that age quite a few people you've known in your lifetime have died, especially when you're talking about political figures who have many more acquaintances than most of us.

Some of the people on the "Clinton death list" ... it's just ridiculous. A veteran Democratic operative named Paul Tully is usually on these lists. Ever seen a picture of the guy? The only question about his heart attack was the exact date when it was going to happen to this morbidly obese man. His death was about as mysterious as "Wallenda's body found underneath high wire; authorities are investigating."


The more elaborate a conspiracy has to be, the less likely it is to be true. I can buy that Epstein might have been murdered for two simple reasons: because it's hard to believe there weren't greater precautions taken with someone who had made a recent suicide attempt, possibly indicating intentional neglect on the part of authorities; and because child molesters are often targets behind bars. But believing that his demise was engineered by specific powerful people is a stretch barring stronger evidence.


The weirdest proven conspiracy in my memory, the attack on Nancy Kerrigan, was something literally no one was speculating about. It looked every bit like an "only in America" random crime until it was shown not to be.
