I was just wondering if anyone in that area would be interested in getting to know me for purposes of a long term relationship, with all the trimmings?

37, single mom with two small children.

If you aren't scared yet then, let's chit chat!

:D

Heyyyyyyy!! *BS* What's wrong with Florida. The "Sunshine State", home of the fabulous Gulf Beaches with the white sugar sand, Mouse World and many, many other theme attractions. The Everglades Nation Park, the Keys with the world's Only underwater national park, St Augustine(the oldest city in America), Cape Canaveral - Sound like a Chamber of Commerce member yet *LOL* - annnnnnd
*Taaa Daaa* a Very, Very Active Lifestyle Community.

Seeeee, saved the best for last. The icing on the cake so to speak. *G*

LS...maybe I should..but at my age the chances of securing a job is slim :( But then again, I did take the plunge and moved here from England..and that worked out well for me ;)

Then, perhaps I should start buying lottery tickets?

*shameless bump*

What? Couldn't take another winter up there? :p If you're going to be anywhere near Washington D.C., let me know. I've been in the central MD, Northern VA area for a while. I might be able to give you some insight into the area, or some other helpful stuff.

Well for a man living in South Carolina the region is great. I live in the Upstate as well. Of course we're going thru what has become a long drought. Depending on your field of work the want ads are kinda slim right now though. But hopefully the economy will turn around soon. I wish you lotsa luck.

Been to all 3 places...I would recommend VA. I've always liked it down there.....as for the relationship, I'm further north. How's Boston sound?

Hmm do they need social workers in Boston?

Or all the people perfectly well adjusted and sane?

:D

wish you would consider fl.have my own business, looking for that some one special.

Charlotte

I would be glad to give you a tour of our fair city Miss, we need more open minded women like you. And heaven knows we could stand more social workers. I look forward to hearing from you.....

i live in va and would love to get to know you

North Carolina is the way to go!

Hi. I live in the Triad area of North Carolina (Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point) and it is wonderful. Definitely worth a look. Lots of folks from other parts of the country relocate here. Great beaches three hours east, beautiful mountains two hours west. And the people are very friendly. ;) Can't beat it.

I imagine every area needs good social workers. This is no exception.

For more info email me at miles_long@hotmail.com.

Thank you for the kind replies.

I definitely am seeking friends in the areas.

I also would be interested in meeting that special someone who would be between the age of 30-50 yrs. He would also be funny, patient, unattached and adventerous.

;)

a social worker?

have you considered north east tennessee? if you are looking for unique people with a variety of problems who are totaly into denial then this is the place for you. besides, its got great mountains, no single women smaller than a house trailer, and now it also has me!!!

Miss T!

I'm glad that I saw this thread!

We really should talk.

Please PM me, if interested.

(edited to say ... Better yet ... I'll PM you! )

Let's see, I'm 45, and I've been told I am funny. Patience comes with age, I am divorced and last week I was flying in CH-46 helicopters hugging the canyon floor with Marines in the high desert in California... so I guess that counts as a "yes" in the adventerous column.
North Carolina is a nice state... I wish you luck.

Hi, Peter.:)

Miss T, I am in this same situation, and quite ready to give up. I wish you the very best, and I admire your approach.
It seems your list of admirers are more than willing to ease things for you....enjoy it :) :rose:

I have a preschooler and a second grader that are part of the package deal!

Saying Hello

:)Allow myself to introduce myself.... I am a 38 year old divorced father of one who resides in eastern South Carolina. I own my own home, have a most excellent job which I have had for almost 14 years, and am funny, intelligent, educated, open-minded, and generally fun to be around ( or so I am told often). I noticed you were thinking of locating to North Carolina, which is a great state!! However, should you decide to come a little further south, I would be delighted to show you around South Carolina and get to know you!!! Drop me a line sometimes. I really would like to know more about you and your plans. From what I have read, you seem like someone that I would really love to meet and get to know. Good Luck!!!

Actually for the last five years or so I have been a school volunteed with second grade classes. I love it. It's usually the best part of my day.
It takes a lot more than kids to scare me away.
