Dark Brandon will now be known as one of the most caring and greatest presidents in recent history.

He speaks softly but carries a big stick. Despite what the corporate owned main$tream media screams about him, he is one of our most effective get it done presidents and will truly be missed by the sane and intelligent Americans.

He is not senile, that is all repugnant ageism. He is truly a sharp statesman, and again, will go down as one of the greatest American presidents. Our teachers, police officers, firefighters, and other public servants deserve the best. It is too bad, Harris could not carry on this legacy, shame on this country for that. Any public servant who did not support Harris needs a lobotomy.

Oh good. Now, the ungrateful lot of welfare recipients here can live a couple more years.

I imagine all Trump supporters are furious.
Imagine voting for a candidate because they promise to lower the price of groceries and before they even take office that candidate sits down for an interview and says “fuck that, I’m not lowering anything”.
Think how furious you’d be.
Well, maybe if this occurred in 2016.
trump lying, flip flopping, not following through on a campaign promise is expected from the likes of you and I. MAGAts 🤷‍♀️ Not so much. They’re recognized marks now.

Okay, ok, I will entertain that dementia could serve as a reason for his lacking/forgetful memory in 24.

Yes I worked 2 and 3 jobs, one of them Federal but the pay was poor, benes would be good a long way down the road. So when I retired, despite having paid in Soc Sec the same amount everyone else paid, they decided to cut my benefit payment in half, mind you they didn't refund me any of the money I paid in, they just kept half of mine.
I'm now 90, so for the 22 years that I've been retired, they have kept each year, approx, $10,000 in benefits of mine, close to $200,000. I will not get that back.

Maybe if Denmark annexes the USA, you'll be able to receive European standard benefits including health services without deductibles or 'pre-existing conditions'.

This saddens me to hear.
Before continuing with any questions - how was your Christmas? Were you with family and friends?

The same morons who still believe in "trickle down" and "read my lips."

Yes my wife of 65 years and I at my daughters home , they were so nice, I love threm all.

Musk said there would be “temporary hardships” for many Americans. I’m hoping that this really doesn’t include you, despite you telling us of your situation, being in any temporary hardship can be catastrophic for so many. Social Security may possibly be cut. I don’t say this to be insensitive, but hopefully you’ve arranged an adequate payout for your family on your life insurance.

You have a a more fulfilling life than trump could ever imagine. Regardless of your financial situation, you have experienced love and it’s reciprocated back to you regularly.

What is this, "pension" thing or 401K for that matter. I worked it so I don't need none of that and I am doing fine. I do get SS but not the average amount. Everything I own is paid for.

cheers

I did not "invest in SS" as a retirement plan, I invested in my financial future. Everything I own is paid for and has been for over half my life.

Those of you out there who are relying on SS to fund your retirement are fools. Even if SS survives the lack of funding crisis that's coming, the AVERAGE SS payment is about $26K per year. You can look up the stats to see what kind of income was required to earn that yearly pittance.

Retirement is something YOU save and invest for. If you're not doing that, in large dollars every paycheck, you're only shorting yourself.

I’ve not seen you here before on the PB.
Welcome! I’m pretty sure that you know from your long years of being a member that compassion and consideration for your fellow citizens Americans Is lacking here and is also one of the reasons. For the success of the person who will be the president.

Yes. Because the life of a white male conservative is always cookie cutter perfect. Nothing life can throw at you derails the godly financial path of success that you’re on. For good measure, tell us about your bootstraps whydontcha.

You are free to stay here, sir, but I want to warn you that things are probably about to get ugly. Happy New Year and good health to you and yours in the coming year. I sincerely hope that you are alive long enough to see and enjoy the inevitable fall trumpers will experience.

My life hasn't ever been "perfect." Unless you call constant pain, PTSD, and a host of other things "perfect."

What I did, and what others have done also, is INVEST IN MYSELF rather than throwing all my money at bling and the next shiny object in an effort to impress the equally bankrupt that I'm "rich." Nor did I give in to the temptation to follow the rest of the stupids happily sitting in the park singing together and dreaming of a "better place."

It all starts with deciding not to be an asshole. Something you still haven't figured out all these decades after it was too late.

Well, try as you may, I have no amount of sympathy for you and the things that ail you. I guess that’s the asshole coming out in me.

And next time, maybe don’t demean the life of others by bringing up how well you were able to stick to your financial plan. But yeah, I’m the asshole.

It's about fairness, plain and simple. Even though I worked as a firefighter and get a pension I worked side jobs, sometimes 2 or 3, and paid into social security. In fact I paid in for over 40 years. I should have received my full social security like everyone else that paid in. I'll give Joey credit for doing this one thing right!

Says the self-identified / admitted “asshole”.

See:

“Derpy < — is an asshole” response posted by Derpy maaaaaany times here on the PB.

Yeeeah. It long ago stopped being a curious oddity your ability to comprehend world reality but still vote against your self interests.

I absolutely detest Trump. Harris was a poor candidate without enough time to really run a successful routine. But I don't know how anyone can watch that debate and not think Biden is going senile.
