50 goddamn thousand favorites...more than the #2 and 3 ranked authors combined, and an absolutely staggering accomplishment.

This is in addition to 600+ stories, multiple influential author awards, some of the most faved and viewed stories on the site, all over the top lists, some shiny blue W's...if it can be done here, she hasn't just done it, but to a level no one else has.

They say records are made to be broken, but short of her leaving the site, or no longer writing, I can't see anyone topping this, and? She's still going strong.

To clarify, that's 50,000 followers. According to the "Most Favorited Authors" (meaning cumulative number of story favorites the author has received) list, she has over 210,000 favorites, which also is more than the numbers of the next two authors combined. That number, however, is badly outdated. It hasn't been updated at all since at least last summer, so it's actually a lot more than that.

Her totals are impressive not just because of how prolific she is, but also because of the ratio of followers:stories. She writes constantly, AND her stories are routinely very popular.

She's been publishing stories here since 2011, 13 years, so with 682 stories that's over 52 stories per year, a story per week. I've published 61 stories in 7 years, not quite 9 stories per year. I cannot imagine doing what she does.

As Lovecraft says, nobody is catching her anytime soon, unless he or HeyAll want to pick up their story writing pace by, oh, two or three times. They'd still have to wait a long time to catch up.

Another crazy Silk stat: She's number 1 on the most followed over the last 30 days list, which means she's gaining followers as fast as ever and putting distance between herself and others. I would have guessed that at some point one would run out of potential followers, but that doesn't seem to be even remotely the case.

There are such cases. I assume it is done to maintain communication with someone. In this case though, it could be that users thought they were following the real Silk.

Look at the column, top right. There are links to most followers, most favorited stories, and most favorited authors. The last category is badly out of date and hasn't been updated for a long time. I know because I check it once in a while and it hasn't changed the figure for me since last summer, and my actual favorites total as of right now is considerably higher.
